After 17 days scouting I made a mistake and shot the wrong buck opening weekend. Scouting went great lots of big and solid bucks. I had a huge hit list and it all went to crap as a group of bucks were coming into my stand the biggest buck was leading. At some point they switched spots and this buck led the group when I shot him at 12 yards. I had my duffel bag stolen from the back of my truck in the great city of Flagstaff. It had all of my hunting clothes, boots misc hunting gear and worst of all my 15s. Sometimes that is what happens.

As the time was looking like it was getting close - I went to him and asked if I could build his casket . What a difficult question to ask someone ,almost as difficult as asking for his daughters hand ..... he said I’ve always wanted just a pine box so I built him a pine box . the first pic has his brand in the cow hide then he did incredible things for NPC and the community of many years & the family wanted that incorporated. had the rest of the family over to help line the inside with foam and white satin . my 10 year old sewed the pillow case for her papa as the grandkids called him . i don’t know why the 3rd pic is upside down - no I didn’t put on that way

Kinda tough for me to put a hunt together in 1 or 2 days. No scouting, getting the camp together, shooting etc. I am a business owner and with the holiday weekend have some help gone. Believe me, I have only wanted 1 Antelope tag in my life. Want to do it right and not by myself. My hunting buddy cannot go on such short notice. I'm sure that many of you would jump at the hunt if offered, but it would not be a smart move for me right now. I have waited this long. Maybe someone on here will get a call and be excited to go. Just don't want to waste the tag by being unprepared. I guess that we are all different in our thoughts on this but that is why we are all different.

My son and I scouted hard all summer, he named a buck that was coming in regular “eye guards”. After some tough misses on opening day, Saturday about 2:00 pm eye guards came strolling in and Tanner capitalized on him with one 50 yard shot, the buck ran 100 yards and piled up. He is still on cloud nine, I’m super proud of him. For those that care he rough green scored 111”.

So about a month ago I posted a picture of a buck that I knew was going to be something special. For one reason or another I had some nay sayers say that it would score 135”😂😂😂 Another person had the audacity to say “why I posted a picture of nice buck and ask the score if I already knew what it would score”??😆 Really now? Crazy how inept some people really are... Then to top it off they post pictures of deers killed over 35 years old in the kaibab😂 You keep tootin your horn homie😆 But nontheless I only care about True Desert Southern Arizona Mule deer bucks. It truely is something special when a person kills a DIY 180” Southern Arizona Archery Desert Mule Deer. After countless stalks and days of hunting this monarch I managed to close the distance to 39 yards and shot this bad boy in the jugular! Finished him off with a shot in the boiler room. Buck has 6” bases and all mass measurements are 5 inches+🤙🏽 Good luck to all you hunters I hope y’all get some good ones. And to you nay sayers just picture me rollin🤙🏽😎😂🦌🤘🏽#GodIsGreat #MuleDeerPutasos #BigBuckDown #180+Club

She posed for the camera.. Got caugjt in the rain again but it was worth it to see a full on double rainbow. Pic came out pretty cool. My feet are killing me though. dang high heels.

The boat is a two hour ride from there. Targeting Wahoo, Marlin and grouper also. I don't care much if we get YF it's just a bucket list fish trip for me and a chance to go someplace new. Everything is provided, just need to show up.

I think a guide would be a good idea for your first hunt. Just tell the guide you want to be guided but also ask to learn everything you can while on the hunt.

Went to New Mexico last weekend, and was fortunate to kill an average buck (Lance knows where... ). A trophy to me! My sons and I only hunted pronghorn for the first time just three years ago, and I was immediately impressed with the meat. Super delicious!! Anyway, I saw a post many years ago on that other site about pressure canning game pronghorn, and was intrigued enough to try it out. (Obviously it could be used with ANY meat, but I chose pronghorn.....). So it was basically super simple. I got some canning jars and stuffed them full of pronghorn scraps. Put a 1/2 bullion cube into the jar, and also a couple of spicy jalapeno slices in some of them. Pressure cooked according to instruction - 15psi for 90 minutes. It came out really awesome!! It's like pot roast in a jar! I'm assuming others are doing this??? Happy eating, all!!! S. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The boned & prepped meat. No, I did NOT use the back straps!! LOL LOL Those are amazing cooked rare in the cast iron skillet! Finished canned (bottled) meat. Tasty! So then I decided to experiment a bit. I used larger jars, and added carrots, celery, and onion (mirepoix), plus some new-potatos and a 1/2 bullion cube. Instant stew!!! Don't have the 'after' pic, but it's not much to look at anyway! LOL Suffice to say, tasted excellent!
