Spent all summer scouting turning up a lot of good bucks. Went up for the hunt and was able to take this heavy buck opening morning. Big thanks to everyone who came up to scout and help out on the hunt
This is an older model Bushnell. I just upgraded to a Sig Kilo. Free to a kid. It doesn't range consistent at bow distances but does ok out to 400 yards.
I'm in Glendale.
PM if interested
Go shoot it. If it shoots, that is all that matters, but now you will always have that in your mind.
One of the best arguments why NOT to buy a bore scope. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Quick story
Opening morning went in after my target buck. He has been traveling the same drainage for the past several weeks. Had him at 110 and he spooked for some reason. Made a loop around and came over a rise and he was at 130. He ended up hooking up with several other small bucks and moved into some thicker country. Decided to loop around and try to get on him again when we saw this buck. He was my #2 but I wasn’t gonna pass him up. After a short stalk I was at 70 yards. One warning shot later he stopped at 80 yards and I regained my composure to double lung him. He ended up running about 80 yards before piling up.
Dropped everything off with Eric on May 29th. Picked it up today. My first time using them, and I'm extremely happy with every aspect of the transaction. Hope to shoot it soon and stretch it's legs when fire restrictions are lifted.

I'll get a weight on it later.
Couple weeks back was standing in front of a huge juniper stretching from the morning glassing session with the sun behind the juniper and I see this fox come trotting up the hill towards me. He doesn’t see me since the sun is behind me and the juniper. It looks like he’s got a huge chunk (as big as him) of burned log in his mouth. At 30 yards I go for my phone to take a video for the kids, he sees the movement, freaks out drops the thing in his mouth and takes off. When I go to see what it was it was the entire head off a yearling elk. Maybe been dead a day or two.
I moved up ridge a bit and would alternately check the head as I was glassing and he and his buddy kept trying to sneak in there to pick it back up but never felt comfortable enough to break cover.
Sweet, I dig it! First time ever I took my catch to the processors so mine is all vacuum sealed up nice. Went from the boat to my freezer in less than 5 hours.
Must be a slow day on the interweb for you fellas to argue over the price of groceries. I couldn’t tell you what anything costs, shopping is my wife’s job. If I ever have to go in a store for anything, that means my wife is broken and needs to be tuned up or replaced.
