Cheers to WildWoody. He went out of His way and found a Quad for Me. I owe Him a cold one. Good Guy to deal with and straight Shooter. I am getting that Honda. Thank You Woody. And another Shout out to Edge who has offered help on My 20 B hunt this year. 2 Stand up Guys from this site and I thank them Very much........................BOB!
There is a youth camp put on for that hunt by the Arizona Mule Deer Organization Organization Region 5 (for the early youth hunt). I highly recommend talking with them and going to the camp. They will give you as much or as little help as you need including a great camping area with restrooms and running water, great food, mentors to go with you in the field if wanted, etc. These camps are a lot of fun for the kids. My daughter had the same tag last year so we went to the camp. It is so nice getting up in the morning and returning at the end of the day to hot food waiting. Every kid there also went home with goodies on the last day from the youth raffle. My daughter won the grand prize, a Tikka in 6.5 Creedmoor. They put all this on at no cost.
Differentiate between private, NF, STL, BLM, NP, tribal lands, unit boundaries.
Map water sources, rubs, wallows, trails, various game, glassing spots, shooting spots, sheds, etc.
Yeah Duwane, didn't want to sound like a fan boy but I totally am. Not saying others up there are not capable but nobody has the knowledge he does on the bab.
I've seen big bucks crossing the road on 89 in Paulden right at dusk multiple times leaving my buddy's house.
Coming back from Williams last October there was an absolutely ginormous buck laying against the guardrail
on the 19B side of HWY 89 about 4 miles past Paulden. I would have stopped but I had the camper with me.
Lots of juniper in the area but there are monster bucks there too. You shouldn't have to venture to far off the hwy to find one.
I’m looking forward to seeing the 12s. Lite weight and wide field of view. Was looking for A used pair 12ELs but seems everyone is asking quite a bit still so rather spend a little extra and get the Pure. Should be in stock this fall.
How far, what gun, and load? Sorry for all the questions but I’m finding out this internet thing takes the “encyclopedia” factor out of things. Turns it into a dictionary instead.
Love it. Helped on a private land tag last year confirming a buck was about 30 yards on legal property. He had been hanging out just out of legal range until he made one fatal mistake on day 3.
The year before too.
