Miss you, dad. Been 39 months since we spread his ashes in 34A where we spent much time chasing the grey ghost. Dad in '44

I usually try to stay away from the 'mushy' topics, but Father's Day and Veteran's Day are the two dates each year that my heart settles firmly on him! He was my hero and a great role model, friend, and mentor. Of course also a great dad! Happy day to ALL dads!!!! S. Circa 1966. Getting ready for a bomb dropping mission. Home on leave the winter of 44', just prior to shipping out to England. A 20 year old 2nd Lieutenant navigator.

Heres one of Dad and I fishing for Wahoo in chi chi jima Japan in 1963. he was stationed there for a few years. dad passed away in 2010.(20+ years in Navy) one thing My Father always did was make sure when he went hunting, Fishing, camping scouting etc was to ask if I wanted to go no matter how many times I disappointed him or I was mad at him for this or that. Loved him for that and did the same thing with all 3 of my kids.

And There's The Problem! There is no shortage of people in our state now, but there is a serious shortage of common sense.. I've got a douche bag behind me who thinks it's his God given right to ignite illegal fireworks every time he has. party. Problem is, there's 10 acres of DRY DRY desert and weeds between us. I have had to build a fire break around my yard for the last two years because of this farging idiot. If he starts up on the Fourth this year, I'm gonna be that guy and call the cops. I'd rather be considered a dick than lose my place because of one.

Like brand new Euro/Meopta 15x56 HD. Box, case, caps, neck strap etc all included. I keep outdoorsman stud. Excellent glass! Looks as if Cabela's/Bass Pro will no longer carry these or they are changing/remodeling them🤷‍♂️. They only have 8x32 & 10x32 listed online and I bet when they sell out they will be gone. 15x56 Meopta HD will cost you more. Cabela's Euro's Instinct HD used only a couple times and paid $1600+ $1200 cash N Phx. Have a pair of extra 12x50 also but they are offered up in a trade right now.

Delw, As parents we do our best to pay it forward and out of love we do our darnest to be protector, provider and role model. As a kid growing up in the 50's life was pretty idyllic, guess I took it for granted and probably disappointed my dad more than once. We can't change the past.

Same deal, 25 years ago we used to go every year and hike down and fish from shore. The fish were usually bigger and healthier than the other lakes we fished. We fished with boats a fees times cowbells and dare devils.

Get some friends OZ31p. haha. Just kidding. I am trying to get my butt back to Alaska and the money guys spend to hunt there both guided or unguided is crazy. It is getting harder to get in the field after Moose or Caribou for less than 10k. I read a good article about how the baby boomers are all coming to retirement age and now they are gonna start spending their money on hunts more and more. A guided Moose hunt is like 20k now simply because of demand. IT SUCKS!!!

hoghntr, I did the taxidermy on that antelope and I'm flattered from your comment "Best looking mount I have ever seen for non traditional style". If you or your taxidermist is interested, I have another wagon wheel available. I bought two of them at an antique store and paid $90 each for them. If you or anyone else is interested, I'll sell it for that same price (they don't make them anymore). I'm attaching a pic of how I finished the back of the mount. I took actual antelope hooves and made a depression in the rock mix before it hardened.

I'm guessing that there are long-term water rights obligations laid-out contractually. Likely can't adjust and shift those obligations in a whimsical manner from year to year. Also likely that overall their would be MUCH more money to make in the 'water' business as opposed to license sales for a single body of water. At the end of the day, ALL Arizona reservoirs are here for water management first. Recreational fishing (even "premier fishing") is always going to be secondary. As a fisherman, I might not like it, but it is the way it is.... S.

Hornady has done a great job marketing the new shiny object that everyone has to have, the 6.5 CM being their greatest achievement. I am not real old, but I love the old school that is proven. Give me a 6.5x55 over a 6.5CM, and give me a 264 win mag over a 6.5 PRC. 264 win mag gets it done, and is probably one of the best rounds to never catch on. Brass is available, and if it isn't you can make it out of 7mm Rem Mag brass all day.
