3 pointsSelling a Winchester M70 Classic Stainless in 270 WSM. Made in New Haven with the Controlled Round Feed. This rifle has been in the field a fair amount and I know of at least two elk that it has taken (unfortunately not by me). The stock shows signs of use with some scratching/marking. Barrel and action are in good shape though and the rifle shoots quite well. I only shoot factory ammo and have found this to be an MOA or better rifle with the following (velocities measured with my MagnetoSpeed): * Federal 140gr Trophy Bonded Tip - avg 3,308 fps (my preferred round, shoots ~ 3/4 MOA) * Federal 130gr Nosler Accubond - avg 3,357 fps * Hornady 145gr ELD-X - avg 3,026 fps I also have a green Hogue OverMolded stock and a factory laminate stock, both of which fit this rifle (the Hogue requires the use of a 2-piece floorplate adapter which I will include). If you purchase the rifle I'll include one of these stocks if you'd like. Warne bases and your choice of 1" or 30mm Warne rings are also included. $600. Please call or text Jim at (602) 999-5073 if you are interested. I'm in Chandler and can meet somewhere in the middle if convenient.

3 pointsJust an FYI but if you plan on making a purchase at Cabela's or Bass Pro their gift cards are on sale right now for 10% off. Sale ends today 6/14 for gift cards. The savings could be significant if you plan on making a large purchase or buy now and hold until something you want to buy goes on sale.

2 pointsWell hunted .260 Remington Tikka stainless fluted super light in black factory plastic stock. Stock was bedded with Devcon and dremeled to eliminate pressure points. Stock has numerous scratches from hunting Coues and javelina. Load development and several hunts puts the round count between 150 and 200. Could be lower but I’d rather guess on the high side. Current mild load is 143 ELDX at 2820. This load was used in another Tikka and shoots .6 MOA in both. Might tighten up if you want to spend time tuning it, but I was happy to have one load for both rifles. Longest kill was a Coues at 560 yards by a 13 year old youth hunter. Several javelina out to 300 yards. It’s been a great rifle but my kids are have gotten bigger and want to move into larger calibers. Bare rifle $500 FTF in Tucson Additional items such as rings ,brass and dies available.

2 pointsI wouldn't call it laziness. I'm almost 70 and can't really hike 5 or 6 miles a day like I could when I was 45.

2 pointsI like the youth model REM 870 in 20G. Light, easy to handle for all and lower recoil. 1-1/4 of #2 or #4 really mess up intruder at across the room ranges.

2 pointsWhat he meant was sheep season is 12 months a year for the owen’s.

2 pointsYou are a piece of sh!t no matter how you spell it, for talking about anyone’s kids for any reason. But you can stand proud of your brother though. To bad we can’t all be as perfect as the Owens boy’s.

1 pointI always clean them after each firing. I run a uniformer and ream the flash hole on new brass before I even load them. Then I weigh cases and separate them into lots and trim them all to the same length. Good group BTW.

1 pointI am far from lost although also not easily found. While I am that I am my character is sound at my age and I don't have to prove anything. I'm also not under a microscope, except maybe my posts on Coueswhitetail. I've never been arrested and never had reason to be so. But don't think my life has been boring. I still work long hours even having had a couple of back surgeries. I prefer to help improve lives and give back to society to some degree rather than be self centered and just take. But I don't see where your brother's cause is just. He already got a "go fund me" from society with the reduction in his potential fines and penalties.

1 pointJust found this and read the whole thing. Very SAD to me for so much negative. People stealing game People hating People stealing time (thus money) from employers Braggers on hunting, finances, etc. Racism, we are all one people Lies and misrepresentations Foul verbage Petty arguments And more. There was some GOOD as well. Good to see; People wanting fair and equal justice for all People recognizing the good abilities of others People wanting to help and support each other People willing to help family when they have made very poor choices. You can pick and choose your friends, but family is what it is People willing to be open minded People who ARE very knowledgeable about hunting And much more Maybe take this a step further and push for changes. Make guiding services also responsible for guides hired (fines and loss of license for infractions) Hold guides to a higher standard Request a minimum two years (or five) loss of hunting privileges per illegal animal to be cumulative and consecutive. (Jed and Blake both should have lost privileges, Jed two and Blake ten as a minimum (five and twenty-five in my opinion). Openly condemn theft of game Report any and all knowledge of theft, anonymously if need be STOP the HECKLING of someone else's results. That is just wrong and promotes an unhealthy environment of "do what you have to" to get a trophy. Every hunt is a success, even if you don't bag an animal. So promote the righteous hunt more, not the kill so much. Recognize other people's better qualities and abilities. And all the more not listed that you know Let us change the country starting here. In the one year I've been on social media, only on Coueswhitetail, I've made my mistakes, will make more I'm sure, and have seen and learned much. YOU ARE ALL GOOD PEOPLE! Many great hunters Many hard workers Many really smart people Many kind people All successful at some particular thing or many things I look forward to getting to know you all, and if I can, helping you too. We are all imperfect. Take the next step. Talk to AZFG and your AZ elected officials.

1 pointKnothead nailed it. I have owned 2 pop ups. They are nice but still a tent on wheels. I own a toyhauler now with all of the luxuries of home. It keeps my wife happy. And when it is hot the AC is nice or when cold the furnace feels pretty good. If I go out without her as often as not I take the Kodiak Canvas tent, a Cabelas oversized cot and a small table. I run a little Buddy heater and 2 battery powered CO2 detectors if it's cold. I spent my honeymoon on a 2 week elk hunt in it. Buy a used camp trailer and a Kodiak Canvas tent and you have all bases covered.

1 pointThis can go down lots of paths...all true. LoL And yes the comfort of the trailer and bathroom was the selling point for my wife and keeps her going camping...

1 pointAs much as this post has entertained, Cornbagger is still my all time favorite, followed by the taxidermy post where the guy's lion came back looking like a sick version of the Pink Panther. Those were the all time classics.
