Finally got around to putting together a little video of the kid’s 2019 deer hunt. 37B, any antlered deer. It was hot but we had a great time! We were blessed to go 4 for 4, the kids worked hard and made some great shots. Check out the video for pictures and video! first buck: .243, 95gr Berger VLD at 300 yards second buck: .257 weatherby mag, 100gr Sierra BT at 430 yards third buck: .308, 168gr hornady eldx at 430 yards last buck: .270, 150gr Berger VLD at 530 yards

Unit 1 was a little tough. Birds were chatty before the sun comes up, but go silent after they hit the ground. Sunday we didn’t hear a gobble. Caught this guy on Saturday and he was a nice bird. Very blessed with him. One tag left for my wife now.

Something I got for a build that isn't happening. Remington 700 LA in 6.5x284 Win which is the what the it was called before Norma standardized it. Barrel is mountain contour and 25" long, I don't know the maker. It has an integral brake. Trigger is excellent and it comes with BDL bottom metal. The action and barrel are matte but the bottom metal is factory gloss paint. I have never shot it. Bore and throat look good. Here's a link to a discussion about the Win vs Norma nomenclature. 6.5x284 Norma same as Win Asking $450. I am in Tucson, near campus and downtown. Thanks, Kent

Wednesday morning was my grand nephew Christian’s opening morning for the youth turkey hunt. Easiest hunt I’ve ever been on. We got the turkeys to gobble first thing but far away. Took us a while to get close to them while they were in the tree. We were able to set up about a hundred yards from them. I got the decoys set up, called once and they gobbled back. Called a second time and he was on the ground about 80 yards away. My nephew seen him strutting coming up the hill behind some hens. I made one more light call, he saw the decoys and strutted right in to them. He was 20 yards and Christian busted him with his 20 guage. From the time of setting decoys up to when he shot him took only five minutes. Awesome morning with Christian. Brian

I bought a new ac unit and paid car insurance with mine. I was going to do that stuff anyways though so I don’t feel stimulated.

Great Tom! Christian's smile says it all... I really miss this youth hunt, I may have to adopt a "nephew" for next season

To solve the food shortage G&F will open the season on everything edible or fuzzy soon. Libitards who cant hunt will have to survive on the gut piles and bones.

Adam and I have gone round and round with this. Use it because you broke your leg. Great. Use it because someone Paul you for your points and then your can or in again next year. Wrong, dishonest and should be illegal in my eyes.
