Its usually because of the condition of the woods, not condition of the the sheep herd.

Wednesday morning was my grand nephew Christian’s opening morning for the youth turkey hunt. Easiest hunt I’ve ever been on. We got the turkeys to gobble first thing but far away. Took us a while to get close to them while they were in the tree. We were able to set up about a hundred yards from them. I got the decoys set up, called once and they gobbled back. Called a second time and he was on the ground about 80 yards away. My nephew seen him strutting coming up the hill behind some hens. I made one more light call, he saw the decoys and strutted right in to them. He was 20 yards and Christian busted him with his 20 guage. From the time of setting decoys up to when he shot him took only five minutes. Awesome morning with Christian. Brian

Was just out for an overnight trip, no fire wasn’t a big deal. The amount of people in a usually empty are was the problem! It’ll feel like your home camping in the city park.

Ya'll losing it from this quarantine crap. I see good guys on here fighting with each other with nasty words. C'mon guys just a little bit longer and all will be as normal as can be. Azbirdunter88 is really good people and as far as I can tell (never met in person) so is wildwoody. Muledeerarea33 would go out of his way to help any stranger he meets... let's all just sing a song and get along!!! Geeeeeeez. If I can help ya with a laugh I am taking a dump and my 3 year old just layed on floor outside bathroom and yelled under door "WHOOP THERE IT IS!" Then laughed and ran away. 🤷‍♂️quarantine!

Ya same every year , if you can afford to drive up there just go get one. Going to need it next year too. I would give you mine but it leaks at the shut off valve and isn’t safe. I still use it but no one sits by it with me.

CJ's hunt was over before the sun came up. About a 12 yard shot and we watched them come from almost 100 yards away. He used a 870 Youth 20gauge.
