Nothing new here. I've been a social isolationist since way before it was cool. Pickin' up sheds, learning new spots, gonna chase turkeys. Working on the jeep project. I figure I'll just let the rest of the world panic while I go about life as usual - and that doesn't mean any contact with others - whether 'at risk' or not. The sad part is I've not been able to go to lunch with my parents for weeks now, because they are in the higher risk category. Getting out and hiking, fishing, scouting - all very healthy and good for our well being and none of those put others at risk if you're not in contact with others.

Thats fine! I agree. But nearly 1.25 million people die in road crashes every year and 35,000 in the US. Do we stay home and not do anything? We just live with those odds. Everyone here has a better chance of dying in a car crash this year instead of corona. IF we are doing everything to save human life a working society will not exist! There needs a machine of economics to work and move forward. Just strange we don't give a crap of all the other stuff that kills us but we let media freak us out and consume us. Again I still think its a huge problem and we can do our part. Just like we need to practice safe driving. Do your part and stay safe on the roads. But we just can't keep the cars home or nothing will go on. Just something to think about!

Tim, I might have to do that. I had a doctor visit this morning and he said I can start standing and putting pressure on the ankle and the xray looked good. So this week I will start doing that and the following week I can start to walk on it as long as I keep the boot on. So probably in two weeks I should be able to wear shoes again. Slowly getting there.

I just hope people don't forget about , The well you know normal sh!t. Heart attacks, strokes, dvts .... these are still going on. Hence the reason they are pushing blood donations. This virus is just a added bonus of life. Take it seriously, but let's not forget about sh!t that has been killing us for years. Stay safe

We are doing our part for social distancing. But swine flu infected 1.6 billion people on earth and 61 million in the US and killed 13,000 in the US and 250k-500k in the world. Why did no one know about this? Life went on. We are no where near these numbers right now. I just find this Ironic and strange. Let alone the 55k people who died this flu season in the US. I believe 99% of us will be fine. But again Im doing my part and also staying away from my parents.

My daughter and I just got back from freezing our butts off at Lower Lake Mary to help maintain our sanity. We didn't catch any fish, but watched four osprey catch 8 total fish, including one 20 feet in front of my daughter! My kids have the youth turkey hunt in 5B or 5a (haven't decided yet) and my son and I have leftover 12A tags, so we're in the same boat as you, but with a shorter drive!

I agree with you. More folks have died from other stuff. I want to keep my parents alive to! Now this is the part that’s hard for me. No one “social distances from the flu’s of the past. I’m not saying this one is worse or not. But if it is, I’m doing my best to help the old people in my life.

Yes. There was an annual spring gathering there. I believe many of the Yavapais thought Gen Crooks orders to get thee to a reservation or be considered combatants was an edic meant for Apaches, not them. http://prescottazhistory.blogspot.com/2016/06/the-true-victims-of-bloody-basin-were.html?m=1

When I found out I drew a late rifle mule deer tag I knew it was an opportunity to shoot a good buck but I decided I would rather watch my son give it a whirl, so I donated the tag to him. We made a few scouting trips and were real familiar with the area from multiple pig hunts over the years. Last week we saw multiple does but no rutting action or bucks in the area, but we knew they would come as they always do with time. Seems like the hunt was here in no time and we were loading up for a quick day hunt with a plan to spend most of our time hunting after Christmas. We headed out opening morning and the full moon had the deer bedded early. We found a couple does and three herds of pigs. The rest of the day was slow until the sun started to set. As the sun was setting we found two sets of does but no buck. We made one more move to a place bucks had been in the past and we quickly found a rutting buck with two does. His neck was swoll up and he was tearing up the trees. Once I saw the front view and how wide he was I knew it was game time. My son took one look at the buck and said “let’s shoot him.” We closed the distance to 340 yards and he put him down. There was no shrinkage when we walked up to him and he was bigger than I thought he was going to be from the quick view I had. I couldn’t be happier or prouder of my son for staying calm when it counts and willing to work hard to get it done. My younger son was there as well without a complaint and he can’t wait for his turn. Big thanks as always to my buddy Brian for all he does for me and my boys. We have had a lot of success together and can’t wait until the next one. Next year he said he wants a coues after shooting two nice mule deer. See how the next chapter goes.

I’m not planning on changing any in state hunting, scouting or fishing trips, but It does look like I’m going to cancel my boys youth turkey hunt in Kansa this April. The part of Kansas we hunt is the perfect place for social distancing, but it just does not feel like the right thing to do at this time. I keep telling myself there could be a change, but that is probably just wishful thinking.

About 2 years ago they were $139 a box. I would add a box of 9mm to put it over $150 total and then use the $30 off. I would end up at about 60cpr. I sure wish they would get back to that price.

Please tell me an embezzler works at an Adult Novelty store? Nobody in my intimate zone needs any. Although I must admit, I wear out several riding crops and buggy whips each year.

Hold over = Kentucky Windage. Turrets = accuracy and precision. Easy decision.
