9 pointsAgain....MATH For the record: "The CDC estimates that so far this season there have been at least 22,000 deaths, 36 million flu illnesses, 370,000 hospitalizations. The 2019-2020 influenza outbreak is MODERATE to LOW in overall severity." That is WITH a vaccine! So when are we shutting down the country and throwing away the Constitution and Bill of Rights for this? If it weren't for the Media and the political weaponization creating the hysteria, would everyone be flooding the hospitals wanting to be checked for corona because they have the sniffles? You stated "Its your right to ask these questions and its still your right to practice your freedoms." This is the part that SCARES me. You are marching to the beat of the governments drum. Do I REALLY have that freedom right now? Seems to me that the government is doing a practice run at communism. They are saying who can work and where we can go. That doesn't sound like "freedom" to me. A very appropriate line from Star Wars: "And this is how Democracy dies...to thundering applause." For complete disclosure, I am VERY far from the tin hat wearing government conspiracy type. But I am ANGRY that the citizenry is so willing to give up it's freedoms. I am ANGRY how quick we have been to punish EVERYONE out of fear that a FEW(mathematically speaking) might die. If those FEW are afraid THEY need to be responsible for themselves. Those FEW who are immune-compromised or otherwise vulnerable to this virus are ALSO vulnerable to the FLU! Do NOT punish me and my family for what MIGHT happen to someone else. End of rant. Carry on my friends.

4 pointsYou forgot "thirdly" Thirdly, who the heck believes anything the Chinese say? Commies lie whenever their lips move.
-
4 pointsNot completely accurate. The reason everybody was so "terrified" of this virus (other than the media driving the hysteria) was because in the begging the mortality rate was perceived to be MUCH higher than it actually is/was. Now with more people being tested that percentage is "normalizing". Those with "symptoms" who are being tested has also increased due in part to the availability of tests and the fact that so many more people THINK they have it now and want to be tested. Again, throw a wider net you catch more fish. It is just math. It would be the same with ANY communicable disease. Still no reason to persist in driving the hysteria.

3 pointsdang, your good. Above pics are of the army gun emplacements guarding the Grief Hill army trail from 1865-1870 and later the Crook Trail. The supply wagons from Ft Whipple were unloaded in this area and packed onto mule trains for the trip down to Camp Verde. Was a great spot for the Yavapai or Apaches to ambush so this outpost was built. Much of the wall has collapsed but some small arms portals still exist and mountain Howitzers would have been placed between battlements.

3 pointsKnock on wood I haven’t been sick in awhile. In my own observation, not close to any scientific study. I see more people sick during wild temp swings. Now that’s usually normal in AZ but when it’s 60 on Tuesday, 90 on Thursday, and 50 on Friday then people get sick. When it’s hotter weather during the summer and temp swings are less it equals less sick people. Again, just my observation, no medical training and I haven’t stayed at a Holiday Inn.

3 pointsAnother variable that few are talking about is the actual number of people who are being tested now vs before. The virus is not necessarily SPREADING faster now, it is being tested MORE. More tests mean more chances of positive result. Even those who showed no symptoms are being counted as "infected"(because they are) but would have never known had they not taken the test. I think it was already fairly prevalent just nobody knew they were infected with this death sentence(because the symptoms were so mild). Now EVERYBODY thinks they have it and are happily giving up their freedoms because of it.

3 pointsSend the Vortex scope back to Vortex. It is most likely broken. When you get it back, sell it and buy another brand scope.

2 pointsBeen eyeballing these little beauties for years but was held back buying one due to the $1,500 retail price....made by BOSSKI in Caldwell, Idaho.....they make a tandem axle version (much bigger) and a couple of utility open dump bed designs as well for hauling, etc. Here's a link to their products: Bosski Built One popped up locally for $300 on FaceBook and I was fortunate enough to be the first to respond. The unit was built in the late 90's but other than needing a fresh set of tires and a gas shock support for the lid it's in great shape!! Decided to upgrade to a 4-ply tire instead of going with the stock 2-ply.....since I hunt/camp in rough areas and sharp rocks are brutal on tires. Would have gone with more ply's but the 25x12x9 size limits what's available. The unit can handle up to 800 pounds of gear and weighs in at 215 pounds empty. Overall length is just at 7' from the tongue to back of trailer and the overall length hooked to the quad is just at 14' Biggest challenge is coming up with a way to secure the cargo/gear to keep it from bouncing around. Will try different size bins but do not want to drill holes for tie-downs because the unit is pretty much water tight and I don't want to compromise that. Look forward to getting out and seeing how it does camping/hunting as spring weather approaches.

2 pointsYou guys need to end this and move your drunken ramblings over to the virus thread. We need not let that one get derailed if we want to hit the mystical hundred page mark.

2 pointsI have had great luck with PSA uppers and lowers and I really like the CHF FN barrels. I put a Tool craft DLC bolt carrier and BCM charging handle in my FN CHF upper but the one nitride/free floating upper I bought had a PSA BCG and charging handle and it ran like a champ even with steel cased ammo. https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-18-chf-heavy-barrel-mid-length-15-precision-lightweight-m-lok-upper-no-bcg-ch-516444448.html https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-14-7-mid-lenght-premium-5-56-nato-1-7-13-5-m-lok-pinned-welded.html https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-20-chf-1-7-a2-rifle-length-556-prem-ar15-upper-assembly-w-bcg-ch-carry-handle.html https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-20-chf-1-7-a2-rifle-length-556-prem-ar15-upper-assembly-w-bcg-ch.html Here is a link for their lowers as taste do vary. https://palmettostatearmory.com/ar-15/lowers.html

2 pointsNext week, the NWS is calling for temps to hit 90 degrees in the desert. Historically, that begins the end for most influenza seasons. Guess we’ll see if “the corona” will also succumb to the the Arizona heat! 🔥

2 pointsWoody, you GOT to pay attention. THAT was DANG funny if you have been stuck at home and reading all the inane threads that have been going on here lately.
-
2 pointsSo you can find stuff? Find me that hot chick that's giving out a donut and a bj for a roll of toilet paper. I'll be right here.....
-
2 pointsHolding stuff you’re selling for internet buyers is for fools. First one with money in my hand gets it. I’ve been burned too many times by “serious” buyers who flake out.

1 pointCan we please try to keep this page what it has always been, a fun place to come and check out some cool stuff for sale? I realize a lot of you are bored but it’s really annoying to see stupid comments on every post about price is too high or complaining about guys not selling to other races and other things that have nothing to do with that post. If you want to whine about boarman complaining about everyone’s prices and things, do it on their posts or in the forums. Please and thanks. Sincerely, Not your Admin.

1 pointYes the 12 pounder Bull Pup had only a thousand yard range at 5 degrees elevation. Your ma knew her history.

1 pointStep one, you should try and connect with me so I can properly teach you how to pan. Using a pan is fundamental for sampling, It's not difficult but if you don't know how or what you're looking for you'll quickly become discouraged. I highly recommend watching Jeff Williams videos, he makes geology fun and that ain't easy. Watch them then watch them again and again. A good modern gold detector starts around $650 for the Fischer Gold Bugs or drop $850 on a simpler but more sensitive Minelab Gold Monster. There's a long, long learning curve for each and you'll mostly dig lead up for a long time. I'd get more familiar with geology and mining laws first. To find gold you have to be on gold and know what signs to look for. You should be familiar with quartz, cobble, bedrock and contact zones. Look for hematite because gold wears an iron hat. Last week I found a hematite deposit on the claim that's just begging to be processed. But it's too wet for dry washing and it will take a Herculean effort to get a hi banker, water and equipment up the hill where it's located. I carried less than 4 gallons of dirt down the hill to pan out at home last Tuesday, and here's the result. I think it's safe to say I'm on the gold.

1 pointLook buddy. We are in a crisis right now. I’m going to lose my job any day now. In hard times I’m trying to liquidate the most I can for funds to feed my family. Nobody on here is going to do that but myself. I don’t owe anyone on here anything when a storm is approaching. Dislike me for it, I really don’t care.

1 pointIt’s pretty stout with lots of padding. It comes with a lot of straps, so I cinch it up pretty good. I’ve had two rifles with Ammo and no issues. But I drive like a grandpa, so that might make a difference. Lol

1 pointDouble check make sure all screws are still tight. Took a buddy on an depredation elk hunt. Got on elk first morning and he kept missing. Went to check the gun out and the srcew hold the stock to the action fell out! But yeah most likely the scope is the issue.
