Some very wealthy people pinch pennies.. And some accomplished hunters poach.. Both are head scratchers to me but since only one is legal, I'll side with the penny pincher.

A few years ago it was dry and warm on that hunt and that unit specifically, 50 deg. morning opening day. I also have been in there when it snowed so be prepared. A .270 is enough for reasonable distance I shot my first bull in 7W with it. Hunted it during archery last Sep. and it was a tough hunt but I got into bulls every day, ranging from spikes to 300 class bulls. Try scouting off of Hoctor road around horse trap and that's a bone thrown. Good luck, great unit if it's decent weather otherwise roads can be nasty like most others you'll need 4x4

Looks like an old M1952 Army Field Desk. Had 5 or 6 of these when I was a kid that we used as chuckboxes for each patrol when I was in boy scouts. makes for a great way to keep most of your camp kitchen gear together in one spot, with a table to work off of to boot. Not the lightest options out there, especially once filled with kitchen gear, but incredibility durable. And being square, makes packing in a truck bed or trailer pretty easy.

It’s hard for him to believe when you are the type to only hunt the power lines.....!

Whoa I was all about trying to help until you referred to hunting as a "hobby". First thing, this is a true primal passion for many red blooded men world wide. If you approach this with a laissez-faire reaction you're going to get a crappy hunt. Don't expect people who they're live their entire year for the fall to want to help you much at all with a ho-hum approach. Just try to have fun with your new hobby. You could also build model planes or cars, make beer or print t-shirts for your friends. Don't put this on the same level as that stuff. Most of our Falls are planned around killing something.

Lol, your taking some other dudes car up there!? You need a truck man. Elk hunters don't drive cars.

I built this gun exactly how I wanted with no corners cut. The rifle was built by WAR rifles out of Virginia. Defiance ga hunter action, Gunwerks magnums carbon stock, gunwerks bottom metal, triggertech special trigger, 26” proof barrel, apa lil bastard brake, nightforce nxs 5.5-22x56 with nightforce rings and top half bubble level. Load development and drop data verified out to 1300 yards. Gun will come with 50 rounds of ammo and a nice cut out hard case. Gun has less than 50 rounds down the tube. Price drop, $6000

As a private party selling a gun. I dont have to sell it to anyone I dont feel comfortable selling it to. Plain and simple your behavior makes me uncomfortable the fact that you backed out on the deal twice. I own it. I am within my rights to sell it or not.

The structure of the box is awesome. It literally needs pressure washed and paint. The 1 hour it will take me to clean it and repaint it and $6 in paint, I'd rather have this set up then one that every other guy out there has. But I'm also driving an 89 Mazda pickup that is about to become a flatbed and literally everything I have is older then me. When you guide 150+ clients a year. A Fisher Price camp kitchen dont cut it.

No smell to it. And the dogs only bark when theres game 🤣🤣 I guess when most people cant camp without a 100k$ toy hauler they would see it as just an old army box. 🤷🏻‍♀️ we turned down 125$ for it this morning from 2 different gals on facebook. Maybe I'll post the after pics later this fall when it's in camp with some hunters

I love and hate unit 10. Love when I draw a tag hate the hunt. But I am alittle crazy and love a grinder hunt. Explorer isn’t joking about the roads. I like your positive attitude you will need it. you will need some big eyes. attached is some eye candy, a bull I glassed up in nov last year.

Best place to hunt elk in that unit in November in my opinion is 3C South. There's a fence just to the south of the 300 road that drops off pretty drastically. It's a little-known spot that time of year but there's lots of elk down there. Make sure you check your Maps

Since finally starting to apply for AZ a few years back, I have been lucky enough to get the opportunity to hunt Javelina 3 times. I had another great trip and was able to catch up with some guys that I met in AZ on my first hunt, which now I'm happy to say, are good friends. To top it off I was able to punch my 3rd Javelina tag on opening day. AZ has been very good to me, I wish I wouldn't have procrastinated so long.

Saw lots of real nice bulls. One was easy 400+ but he was smart and wasnt staying in one spot. Never saw another hunter where we hunted the whole hunt and I hunted the same spot from opening day to the last day. It was my second archery hunt ever, first was antelope the month before (I got very lucky last year with tags). I missed two bulls, ruined 2 pairs of boots, and found 3 horns and a dead head. I learned a lot chasing them with my bow. Saw a really sweet freak antelope buck and an absolute giant heavy goat there too. One of the bulls I should have hit was a nice heavy 5x5, he was the smallest bull we saw on the entire hunt. I will most definitely put in for that hunt again but I spend prolly 250 days a year in unit 1 so it's not an out of the way place for me. I dont believe the quality of bulls has dropped there, I think when there 250 hunters by Big Lake and 48 on the 96 rd I can see how people say the hunts not very good. But I will definitely put in for that hunt again.

This is correct. To add a little detail, 38% of the people with 8 Points were drawn in the bonus. Without a doubt most if not all of these applicants were residents. You had to have 11 to be in the 100% category. Non-residents probably started dropping out at 10 points. Given that I would say at least 8 maybe 9 this year for a resident to have a chance in the bonus pass. Odds go up from there.
