2 pointsI am 53 this year … 20 points … resident. I think you put in for what you really want to do. heck … I got drawn for the Strip 2X in 3 years back in about 2008 and 2010. Luck can happen. I also won a car at the Clippers game back when I was 21 … got called down for a half court shot and swished it. LUCK HAPPENS!!! Just put in where you want and for what you want.

2 pointsI really hope Az G&F doesn't do this for one simple reason. We already have enough regulations! We don't need any more regulations! Yes, a few people have long range muzzleloaders, but the percentage of those who do and those who don't is very different. I still don't understand why this county continues to bend it's will to the minority of those pursuing anything! I don't know why so many are up in arms about long range muzzleoaders anyway. I almost guarantee those with a long range muzzleloader are much more accurate than those without. How about we start shaming people for their poor accuracy and not the distance they take animals!!!!

1 pointI am excited for the outcome and anticipating good things but not looking forward to all that happens in between ya know. My leg pain is just something fearce so I Pray this helps and gets me in a better place. I would love to be able to walk around a zoo or Disneyland with kids without having to fall out and sit out the day from leg pain. I have had near nonstop leg weakness and pain for so long I forget. Please pray for my recovery and for my family especially my wife who is having to deal with my constant surgeries and manage our children on her own. Got some new batteries in those toys I bought on here from Myrights as and made sure to get some fun time in today before having to be worked on tomorrow am. My silly wife even got in on the john deere race 😂

1 pointBeen in the er since early this morning. Looks like my 10 year old son has a bowel obstruction and they are shipping him up to Tmc children's hospital. We dont know if it's gonna require surgery yet and we are worried. Prayer would be much appreciated.

1 pointCouldn’t find much in the usual spots so we headed to a cool little canyon we discovered last year, a nice hike out of sight from the road and we got to glassing. At first we glassed up fresh digs a good 500 yards out and kept glassing, we figured the pigs were bedded down for their midday nap. About 2 pm we caught movement of pigs and the stalk was on. We arrived and only one pig was out. We were 112 yards away. My pops is confident at 100 with his TC so he let me shoot first with the new muzzleloader. I hit my pig and she went down screaming, that woke up the whole herd and they came into view. Pops got the pistol settled on a pig at 103 yards and it was over. Usually the HAM hunts kicks our butt with us walking miles and miles for 5 days. It was refreshing to harvest on the first day out!

1 pointdont they load them with a brass casing now just like a regular rifle? Remington ultimate muzzleloader or something like that. I don’t see why they need their own season
-
1 pointAlways put in if you want a chance to go. There is no pocketing anything. I have not been drawn in 18 years, and with HE and Loyalty have 20 points. I still won't get drawn for Trophy Bull....but I still put in. Someday I will get the Golden Ticket.

1 pointWith 19pts or 17pts the same units were available (per Toprut & Gohunt). Only exception was Unit 3 early archery which dropped to less than 30% chance. Allows me to hunt with my buddy (hopefully). There were some other hunts but they conflict with scheduled huntin or fishin trips in other states. Wishing everyone a great season filled with limited entry tags!

1 pointWe're going to know in 20 days if we're going pronghorn or elk hunting! 17 days after apps close. That's pretty impressive considering what we've had to endure prior to this system, I think we should all be happy! 😁

1 pointI had a really really primo NV muzzy tag this year and used a LR muzzy with iron sights. It still helped having a suped up gun for a couple reasons. 1: the drop out to 250 is about the same as a30-06 so I can put it right on that far out and level with their back at 300. 2: the energy is the same as a 300 win mag so if you do take a 300 yard open sight shot and you hit an elk in the shoulder blade, you’re gonna pile him up. 3. My gun shoots sub moa and it does make a big difference, even with iron sights to put the error all on your shoulders and remove as much as you can from the gun. I was able to keep softball groups out to 250 with a rear peep and front globe. Paper plate to 350. The site picture was the most critical thing, having the light right to see what you’re aiming at. My max range for the hunt was 350 if it was a buck on an open hillside with good backlight and contrast. 150 yards if light was bad. It really was fun getting ready for that hunt, more like practicing for a bowhunt for muscle memory then a rifle hunt where I site in and verify dope and then go hunting. Ended up shooting my buck at 120 yards but he was chest on and light was low so I feel the practice made it happen.

1 pointNothing prevents you from using your build in a rifle season. I solely used my Thompson Renegade sidelock .50 last cow season and the hunt was like getting reschooled in the 1850s. I know it's unpopular but I totally agree with state regs pushing back on modern rifle optics on muzzleloaders. I don't necessarily agree with iron sights though, since tubes were period optics in the 19th century. I guess shooting accurately out past 200 yards is unfair too? http://www.namlhunt.com/mlscopes.html

1 pointI had arrowhead rebarrel my remington UML which is a short action 700 with a brux barrel and install his ignition system. I use his bullets and size them to the barrel. The rifle shoots three bullets all touching at 100 yards, and around 2500 fps with blackhorn 209. Let me know any questions you have about it.

1 pointI’d place a large bet that we can time Buster’s responses to the commercial breaks in the democratic debate tonight.....

1 pointPlease tell me you don't actually believe that... Give me enough funding and I can get you a study to prove anything you want. I also don't trust the public school to actually educate my kid, so I doubt you and I could every find common ground for a fact based discussion. Facts are not "science", they are just reality.

1 pointGoldtoybox, In my opinion I would put in for 22 north early rifle first choice and 22 south muzzleloader 2nd choice. If you draw I will help you kill the caliber of bull you are looking for. I know both units extremely well and had 22 south muzzleloader last year. I am not a guide just love hunting and helping people out as I find it always is reciprocated in some way. I live less than 2 hours away and am glad to help you from running cameras, scouting, to hunting with you and helping pack your elk out. PM me if you want more info, Mark

1 pointGood Lord. I guess Go Hunt and all of those analytics are no match for Del the yote buster. Here is what I can see for 19 points Non Resident. Early rifle looks bleak for any premier unit. Like in the 0.3% range for 3c and even less in the 23s, 27s etc. For archery non res with 19 points, you can easily draw 27 or 1 (100%) but 23N is back to O.4% and up to 83% for 3c and down to 0.7 for 9. Let me know if you want any other units. Happy to help. Late tags wouldn't be a problem anywhere. I'm sure Del's method works for him but I am a tool and rely on data when asked instead, or we can all just go yote busting! That is more `funner` anyway.

1 pointI dont mean to throw your mortality in your face but if you are willing to hire a guide you can pull this off. You could put in for some mid tier units with a guide and fulfill your dream. You have a good shot at many good units.
