What road were you shooting from?😝

the horses on our Arizona ranges serve zero purpose other than the few folks who drive around to photo them. I just don't get people at times, zero common sense on issues. Same goes for the hundreds and hundreds of burros, the larger issue is people though, we are on a one way road as humans to really just ruin this whole dam ride

I mean I stepped off the road to shoot him.

I have said it before. Feed them to the inmates in the state prisons. Win win for everyone.

I saw a pigeon in the front yard a bit ago if that helps.

I figure if people can eat javalina that any other form of meat would be tasty!

All good. I glassed that shed up and had to go back for it as I was busy packing this guy out.

I'd keep hunting for the deer hit in the face with a broken head in him and hope I find him. Personally, I'd punch my AZ 2020 regardless.... Good luck finding him trphyhntr. Stuff like that happens in the archery game...

The entire rest of the planet eats horse. Unfortunately the number of people that think they are wild horses and have made a hobby f photographing them and a religion of protecting them is growing at an insane rate. IMHO the battle has already been lost on this topic which makes me insane if I think about it too much.

Story of my first deer. (Shortened) After glassing, and stalking other bucks I eventually found myself at the top of a ridge overlooking a wash filled with cattle. As soon as my eyes focused on a calf I saw the white bottom of a 2 point buck jump behind a bush. I briskly started walking to get even with the buck as I was on top of the ridge and he was in the bottom of a wash. I was using an ultimate predator decoy, a silhouette of a doe that I Velcro on my bow, to hopefully lure in the rutting buck. I chased him from ridge to ridge til eventually I cut him off and waited for him to walk right in to me where the wash ended. Seconds after stopping my movement he emerged from behind a bush at about 65 yards. His eyes immediately locked on me, the doe decoy, and began walking right towards me. I ranged the cactus 17 yards in front of me that he would have to go around. I drew my bow without him noticing because of the decoy. When he approached the cactus he turned broadside to go around it and that’s when I let the arrow fly. The Rage broad head penetrated deeply into his vitals from what I could tell at the moment. Instantly blood spurted out of him and he took off down the wash he came from. After waiting an hour I started tracking. After finding little to no blood I eventually made my way back up the wash where I thought he was. I found a large puddle of blood and 10 feet farther there he was; crashed in the wash. I had finally killed my first buck and it was an archery otc hunt. It took a lot of hard days, sleepless nights, and practice to get it done but I did it. Super happy for my first buck. He’s not a monster but for my first deer I can’t complain. Thanks everyone for all the tips and advice. I couldn’t have done it without y’all. 9F8FCEC8-3952-4732-83AF-844D2E2DF364.MOV

If you can do $1699 or under then look at the Zeiss 15’s or used swaro’s. If your closer the $1000 and under then there’s a few options. Hate to say it since I’ve heard it my whole life but..... save for the swaro’s! Once I got mine I knew why.

They have been shooting them for years there along with the wild horses . Fact.

I know the number of wolves in the wild they are telling us is WAY under-inflated. There are more wolves right now in units 1 and 27 than I think they can even count.

Just like 88 said money money money. I've known many pro guys and girls that can shoot any big name bow just as good as the bow there sponsored by. it has nothing to do with the bow.

I always though they had a tough go of it in the spring and had more to eat in the fall when there were acorns, prickly pear fruit and manzanita berries. It seemed that there wasn't much growing yet in the high country.

I drew the archery spring tag in 22 this year. I had it once before, and saw plenty of bears, but there was one in particular I wanted. Gonna try to find him again this year. David
