I was fortunate to take my ram mid day on December 2nd surrounded by friends and family. Special thanks to my dad who scouted for me and burned miles of roads and glassed for hours.......As you all know, it was the hunt of a lifetime. He wasn't the biggest ram out there, but he is perfect to me. Sheep slow motion.xspf

I was fortunate to have had a chance at this buck with the AZ heat last week and the moon. Extremely poor movement during the day and it was a grind. Scouting him in the summer and he was the #2 buck. Found this guy up and feeding in the evening in the heat for the first time in 3 days. Got set up, he fed my way, and I made a poke. 6.5 PRC, 130 Berger VLD. He's 1/4" shy of 30" wide...

We were ready to tough out the weather on Friday. We didn’t realize visibility would be near zero. Friday afternoon after the weather cleared a little we glassed 11 bucks and a handful of does. No shooters. Next day we hiked in a ways and after spotting small or young bucks we found 2 shooters. Classic scenario, waited til they bedded then made our 2 hour stalk and they weren’t there anymore. Started glassing the surrounding areas and spotted this buck just 248 yards away and buddy decided he was a shooter. The crazy part was that 30 seconds after he died a bunch of ravens showed up and landed in the tree above him.

Thank you for you time in helping with the search. I know the family appreciate’s all the efforts. This is my cousin and I know they are overwhelmed with all the volunteers and support. I can’t even imagine the hurt and pain they’re are going through. I just wanna hug my kids a little tighter and appreciate every second I have with them.

I FL size EVERY time. There is no benefit to neck sizing if you FL size correctly. Bump the shoulders back .002"-.003" on every case, problem should be solved. On some belted magnums, since you didn't state what cartridge you are running, you might need to use a collet die to reduce case diameter just above the belt. But not a very common need.

I guess the thing to do now is go live on your hunt. I started this trip off by leaving Buckeye Thursday morning and fighting bad weather to finally get here late last night. High winds in the 40s today and tomorrow Make for some interesting scouting. My rifle tag starts on Wednesday and runs for 10 days. Looking forward to this year as the growth I’ve heard is really good here this year. I’m fortunate enough to have a house here and some farms that have been in the family for years and years. A guest from here on CWT will be joining me next Friday and stay a week to hunt. I’ll keep you guys posted on the scouting and hunt itself when it rolls around. If your not familiar with Midwest deer hunting you probably think tree stands and blinds to kill deer. Here on our farms we spot and stalk just like AZ and take some long shots. A lot of our country here is open and flat as well as river bottoms.

Looking to sell a revolver that was handed down to me - I do not use the gun and it doesn't have that much sentimental value. The gun up for sale is a K-22 Masterpiece Revolver - Model No. 17 chambered in .22LR. It was manufactured in 1960 by Smith & Wesson in Springfield, MA. The revolver is still in the original packaging and will come with the original owners manual, 22LR ammo, cleaning patches, etc. I've taken excellent care of this nearly 60 year old masterpiece but no longer have the use for it. Serial number K415XXX, if you'd like to read up on this famously accurate and well manufactured gun. I'm looking for $1,000 OBO and could potentially be open to trades of equal value or trade + $$$.

Another day, another 8 heart wrenching hours in the water picking through debris piles and beaver dams with family members, volunteers and search crews. I will say this, the lack of leadership and coordination from GCSO is appalling. With the manpower and resources that have shown up, I cannot believe that there is zero cooperation between their incident command and the “church people” as they referred to the civilian volunteers. I spent the afternoon searching with a rescue team that had come up from a privaye entity who had provided the team and equipment at their own expense, and when they called in to GCSO to get briefed and join the operation they were told to report to the civilian “incident command” (which is a food tent and parking lot, there is no civilian incident command). So this trained search and rescue squad just headed out on their own with no briefing, no information, nothing. The wasted opportunity is sickening.

First post here for me I think. My brother shot this nice bull in six B this week. I thought I'd share with you guys. Also, long shot I know, but I will ask anyway. If someone has the broken antler, I would compensate you to be able to get it reunited with the rest of the rack. My brother is driving home now, and knows nothing about this. I thought it wouldnbe cool to give to him for Christmas. I actually passed a broken bull in Nevada in 2015. My brother later found the broken antler a few miles away. We were able to find the bull againbthe next evening, and my taxi put it back together.

I have them. I have used them in 80 degree weather this fall on early elk hunts and I used them (layered with other clothes) in 4 degree weather on my deer hunt a few weeks ago. My favorite pants.

Not when they are involved in the property management of the property.

guess that is what I meant by hitch weight and yeah I would rather have too much than too little for the reasons 360 said. I assume the trailer has trailer brakes? You should be totally fine.. plenty of truck to handle that trailer and tongue weight. 360 brings up a good point.. If you are throwing a UTV in the back of that trailer and not over or forward of the axels, you can get a lot of sway. Keep the weight on the hitch! You have plenty of truck to support it.

See if you taxidermist can find a radio collar to mount it with. I think that would be awesome.

I think they are all pretty similar and pretty easy to set up. I like using WDH to level everything out. Sway control on the other hand comes in all shapes and forms and price points. From cheap and basic to complex and expensive. Every WDH i’ve used creates some loud bangs and squeaks.

+1. Also hitch height plays a lot on tounge weight along with load distribution in the trailer. Being to light on tounge weight will cause the trailer to fishtail from mild to extremely wild not a fun tow that way

in my humble opinion you would not need any distribution hitches for that load with that truck. In fact taking too much weight off the hitch can be more dangerous than carrying that weight. If it were me I would give it a tow without anything to Rye or Globe and see if you are comfortable. If you do end up going with something the EZ lift system worked well for me with a 7K trailer with 550 tough weight. I would invest in a heavy duty hitch however.

Hmm opium comes from the middle east. We have military operations in the middle east... doing what.. guarding opium crops. Oh wait fighting terrorism thats right. And our government is screaming for opioid addiction to get put under control😂😂😂😂 peices of $hit are everywhere. They dont just turn to turds after smoking some pot. I say the government should put poison in the drugs and turn them back on the street. And tell everyone what they are doing. Then who ever over doses has no pity for being that stupid.

My Girlfriend Ashley got it done in a big way this past Friday and knocked down a monster first Coues Deer! It was our only full day to get out and hunt together so we decided to roll the dice on a special buck that i've had 3 years of history with. It all happened so fast and was/is surreal because everyone knows that 99.9% of the time the stars just don't line up for you. I still can't believe that we got him and I am very proud of the effort Ashley put into harvesting this beautiful creature. DAN
