Here is my 2019 Az strip mule deer. It only took me 19 years to draw the tag!! This was one of the best hunts I’ve ever had! Mostly because I was able to share it with my girlfriend who was there for the scouting trips and the Hunt. She was so excited to be there and watch me take a buck of a lifetime! I couldn’t have done it without her! After finding out I was diagnosed with cancer and had surgery a couple of months ago I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to make the hunt. She was there every step for me!! This Buck is OUR buck!!

The final plot twist of this story took place today. Outcome TBD This morning I had this bull on a string to pass me @ 50 yards then that storm front started moving in and changed the wind patterns that had been constant since the beginning of the hunt. They left Bulltopia Had to check emails and return calls so I went to Springerville for lunch. saw this immature banded bald eagle eating roadkill I do what I have to do. And decide to go up to my original honey hole before I was distracted by Bulltopia. Three trail cameras and I got 1 picture of a Bull. even the horses are gone. Something is not right so I left. I decide to drive into bulltopia , I pass a white toyota on the side of the road and a few hundred yards later I spook 4 bulls with my driving. I feel bad I hate when that happens to me. I take a couple of pics and keep heading in. I decide about half way that I am not going to make it and know that the toyota is going to cross the field to go after those four little bulls. I figured, why not. I sneak in wind is good enough, Cover is adequate. I get to 65 yards and take aim at the closest bull. He spooks and a chinese fire drill is taking place. I climb a little ledge and A bull that wasnt part of the drill is standing broadside and a good distance but a shot I practiced quite a bit. I was determined. I pull back, settle in and squeeze. I hear the crack of the arrow hitting rib. It runs and stops after about 60 yards, I glass my fletching sticking out about 14 inches. half way up and two inches behind the shoulder. I hear a crash. I have nothing with me to see. I follow the trail until around 730 and call it. I will be back first thing in the morning. No matter what the hunting part of this done. Which bull did I shoot? (im asking im not quite positive)

Can you shoot from outside the purple outline? Is it considered a different unit?

If DELW has not gotten banned, you certainly won't be.

Glassing is all about a pair of 15s and a tripod. The tripod is very important, more so then the glass in my opinion.

Well, had a really tough hunt this year. Turns out I wasn't the only one that knew about my target bucks. After dealing with people shelling off artillery rounds at the bucks from over 1000 yards every morning i decided to back out of the area for a couple of days and let the pressure die down. I snuck back into my perch on Tuesday evening and was able to knock this buck down. He was about my "plan D" buck but I'm happy with him. I've always wanted a big two-point and i think this one qualifies. He's a really old troll of a deer and was the dominant buck in the area. A good one to get out of the gene pool. Sorry for the disgusting decapitation photos. He was a long ways from a road and didn't get to him until well after dark. The field photos were terrible.

Have up for sale, a Springfield Armory XD Service. This pistol has not been molested, has Crimson Trace, 5 magazines, King Tuck IWB holster, two hip holsters, a kidex trigger guard, and everything it comes with from factory, minus the lock(I'll look for that). Asking $600. Located in the heart of Glendale. Will consider trade for a 6.5 creedmoor similar value or add cash either way.

That sucks man, If I didnt have so much work right now I would drive up there and help you out. Keep us posted please. think one of your buddies with the dogs could find it? I dont think it went to far, I am guessing its in the same general area(within a mile but thats alot of ground to cover looking for a dead or near dead critter).. more than likely dead or very close to. from day one those elk didnt move that much so hes there. if you didnt see any blood signs in the snow that's what I am figuring.

You shot the one on the far left with the blood coming out. Keep it coming!

I’m going fishing down there. I’d rather be dead than miss out on a good bite

http://bowhuntinginarizona.com/purchase-record-books.html A copy of the new "Bowhunting in Arizona" book for $25! Great to ask as a gift for yourself, or a great gift to buy for your hunting partner.

I was roofing patio when my achilles and back said no more about a year ago so maybe as a team we could finish it up. I dried it in but last row where I gotta pull tiles has just been sitting waiting for me to get healthy and not sure the roof can wait that long. Materials already waiting. Glue down rolled roofing on wrap around patio I built back when I could 👍 N phx
