3x4 bucks are pretty common. The tail and ears are the tell as grey curse pointed out.

I agree, our relievers are a pretty sad lot. That being said, I put much of the blame on the manager. He needs to keeps starters in longer and not be so quick to pull them. Starters need to learn how to pitch through difficult situations. The heck with pitch counts. Starters used to throw a lot more with only a 4 man rotation. Why 100 pitches? That is just some random number based on 10. Most pitchers only stay with a team for a few years anyway so you can't say you are worried about their careers. Pitching, defense and timely hitting win championships. Get ready, because when the D-backs throw in the towel this team will end up being 30 games or more out. Can't get excited about the NFL anymore since it has become so political plus it just doesn't hold my attention anymore. It's been years since I have watched an NFL game from beginning to end. Good thing fall is around the corner and hunting seasons will be starting soon.

Fair assumption, but when I started hunting AZ I literally had no experience. I didn't even know about 15s and tripods, let alone thermal currents. Whats crazy is i started with a bow when you could still kill a doe, and I still came home empty handed. I learned a lot through failure, I look back to my first few years and laugh. I don't regret it though, I learned so much the hard way and I feel it made me a better hunter.

Look up lots of old threads on glassing. And firt timer threads. Do you have a budget to work with? I highly recomend the tripod and a pair of 15s. There are budget options out there but id get the best you can afford. You can event rent optics for hunts.

280 rem with a Remington 721 action. 26” aftermarket barrel with a magnum type contour added hinged floor plate which the 721s don’t have wood is nice, trigger is light but has some creep. Scope: Meopta Meopro 3.5-10 Only reason I’m considering selling is because I really don’t use it. Will come with dies Asking $700 will consider trading for a shotgun

Ouch, that's like hooking a trailer to your Maserati.

Almost hated to let it go after getting it all fixed up but I still have 3 trailers in my backyard!

When I went bear hunting the first time in BC in the 1980s, it was mostly spot & stalk hunting. The guide made me take off my shoes before we started a stalk. After the first day, I carried a heavy pair of wool socks to slip on over my regular ones. That worked mucho better until we hunted in the rain and wound up with socks that squished. 🤣 I later adapted that here in AZ by carrying a pair of flexible-soled mocs in my fanny pack and changed out my boots for them to do a stalk. They make it a lot easier to feel stuff under your feet that will go crunch, yet still protect your feet from sharp objects like broken cholla pods.

There’s usually a few real 400” bulls killed every year, so I would think this year it will be done.

I think you are a ways off. Very young bull with short main beams. He has great character, but i dont think he is even a 300 bull yet. His 5ths might push him close to 300, but id put him in the 290 range.

When we develop some wild cat loads we have dented brass all the time. Much, much worse that the one you have a pic of. 50,000 PSI will make the brass conform to your chamber specs.

Wow! It must be easy to harvest elk steaks in ones yard. All I get out of mine is vegetables. But I have harvested some really nice big bulls that could be seen from someone's yard .The one thing that is good about that is, No caring for many miles(at 82 -it would be impossible): guess that I could rent a mule to get the job done. 11 M has many problems & advantages, but for a Senior- like me the advantage are +. What do you think i should do harvest a nice bull there this Sept? I have the early hunt. I shot a huge bull (Schultz pass area). It was the biggest LIVE bull that I have ever seen in 50 yrs. hunting. 400 + My way of hunting is -1 person(only) chasing 1 animal. I believe that this is the only-(fair chase) For me to have pride in my successes., Thank you! Photos- 1-just prior to my release,- 2 -His antlers- 3 - his son= my target - this Sept.
