I dont know but if that is the org rock in that hole I would go back and grab it.
that could be a metorite from many years ago and he softer stone formed around it.
what ever it is its bad butt.
Well I guess I'm eating a slice of humble pie, after all my whining about people with hardly any points draw sheep tags and all I do is donate for my 23 points.
Anyway my 23 year old son calls me yesterday and asked if I just put him in for the bonus point or a sheep tag. Then he told me his portal showed a 15d south ram tag, I couldn't believe it
At least someone in the family will have a chance before I die.
Then there is the question if anyone has had this hunt or has any info please let me no so I can pass it on to him. I think I'm just going to hang in Laughlin and gamble and drink to drawn my sorrows for the month of December. Lol
Anything will help
I have wanted to post this for a while and now that we wait for the new draw results, I thought I would share and reminisce.
After completing the 2019 deer draw application for my son, this was the first time not being able to apply him for a Jr hunt. I now must come to accept my little man is becoming a man… and a great man at that. I could not be prouder of him in many things in life, one being an outdoors-man. Over the years he has grown and learned from the countless fishing/camping/hunting trips we have taken. Last year he went out in style with the youth trifecta… successful youth turkey, elk and deer in the same year. This after many years of “successful tag soup hunts”, I say successful cuz I consider any hunt with my kids a fruitful adventure.
Thank you for the memories buddy, now go make me some grand children to take hunting/camping… don’t tell his mom I said that , lol
Congrats and good luck to everyone with tags.
Looks like the 2 boys will be hunting 34A early youth this year. That’s great since CJ will be “to old” for youth hunts next year. (Where does the time go?)
I finally got drawn for a late whitetail tag in 34A. It was my first drawn tag in 7 years. I was able to snag a 30A leftover tag last year and spent a few days chasing Coues down towards Douglas.
Just a few
metallica, Ozzy, Korn, Pantera, System of a Down, NIN, Type O Negative, Alice In Chains, Bush, Sheryl Crow, Darrius Rucker both solo and Hootie, Eminem, Dre, plus many others.
Thank you all. I accumulated 20 points by being very unlucky a bunch of times while also having to just buy points because of school/career. I chose unit 23N based off of hearing people say its the most vocal/most callable unit in the state. After waiting this long i want to experience the best rut activity that i can. I will shoot a 350" bull at first light opening morning and have no regrets.
The biggest question is does your dad want to hunt a sheep or just shoot a sheep after a hike? If the biggest sheep someone else finds is what he wants to shoot then go guided. If he wants the experience of knowing he found and killed the biggest sheep he worked for then go unguided. Either way what ever makes him happy is what it is all about.
Hi, my name is Carl. I just got drawn for deer in AZ but live in California. Don't have time to scout so I'm asking for some good spots to hunt.....oh ya, I just found this site and this is my 1st post.
Thank You.
I appreciate all of the information, after checking the websites of all of the guides mentioned so far they all seem to be very good! Although we know we would likely have a very good hunt and harvest a big ram without a guide, I don't know if I will be able to persuade him to go without on this one. Whatever decision is made we will try to make the most of this once in a lifetime opportunity!
