Took the kid and her boyfriend out shed hunting today, She found the small elk shed in the 1st 10 mins then the old muley she 10 mins later. 1st time we went out specifically looking for sheds and she finds some. Last time we were on a turkey shed hunt trip and she found that deadhead.

We did pretty good we only fished Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Several 15-18inches but most were 12-14. 5 of us caught 20-50each. Mostly on top water floating rappals and a rebel grasshopper.

For a few years I had a credit card that I never used so I made it my licenses and tag applications card. That way I never have to worry about what my account balance is in the event I draw a tag. It never comes out of the safe except for application time.

gonna be a good trip. big bluefin and some schoolies, yft to 30lbs, fork to 30lbs and now dorado. methinks it will be an epic july offshore. just wahoo and bigeye are missing so far. you'll know it's a great trip when you can see free swimming tuna all around the boat but can't get hooked up because a dorado takes the bait the instant it hits the water. evil grin. lee

Exactly what I have been doing for years. Plus, the application fees keep the bank happy enough so they don't cancel the account for non-use.

I also attempted to design a pattern for the salt users, but it turned out looking like snow camo. 😎

Michigan, as well. About 25 years ago when I was into bowhunting, a major manufacturer invited me on a deer hunt near Rogers City, which is on the northeast tip of the lower peninsular, right on Lake Huron. As I normally do because I hate all the strings attached to flying and also wanted to visit a couple friends, I drove. I spent a night with a friend in Ann Arbor and headed north early the next morning while it was still dark. As it got light, I started seeing all these big signs along the highway; they were selling sugar beets and ears of corn. I bet I passed at least 100 of these before I got to RC. Of course, since I'm not a fan of hunting over bait, I did a lot of chuckling at the creativity of some of the signs. One said, "Deer hunters -- beets by the truckload -- you load," others sold bags full of corn. Little did I know what was in store. We stayed at a resort right on the lakeshore. The first thing I noticed was the size of the "surf." Many of the waves were higher than those in the ocean at Mazatlán. There were six of us hunting, so we split into two groups and were transported to two different spots a few miles away. The parcel I was on couldn't have been more than 25 acres. It had several blinds on it. I was put into an elevated RIFLE blind overlooking an automatic corn feeder! In order to shoot out the window so my upper limb didn't hit the ceiling or upper window frame, I had to slouch down and stand back. And then I also had to worry about the arrow hitting the window ledge. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to stay put in it, lest I disturb my two hunting partners by wandering around. I was chuckling at all the signs, but now I was laughing hysterically when the feeder went off at 7 a.m. It was like a dinner bell to every critter big and small on that parcel of land. I have a 35mm slide that has two does, two fawns, a racoon, two turkeys and several BLACK squirrels -- all pigging out on corn for breakfast. The same thing occurred that evening with a possum joining the crowd. One day, I decided to test how they would all react to cigarette smoke when the breeze would take it from the blind to the feeder. Took a few big puffs and blew it out the window. Not one critter picked its head up. It went that way for two days. Finally on the 3rd day, a small buck joined the meal. I did my contortionist act and promptly shot high over its back, as the tip of the arrow put a slice in the window ledge. The arrow winged off into the woods, and while I was looking for it, I got to see a Michigan variety massasauga rattlesnake. It was about 14-16 in. long.

Went today to fine tune charge weight at 200 again. Think I am pretty much done. Just need to get Taylor on a pronghorn in August now. 3 shots, 130 Hybrid OTM, 200 yards, 2868fps Need to load some up, adjust zero by .1MIL R, and go stretch it's legs.

Good luck on your tag. I've been there a time or two in the past but everything always seemed to work itself out.

Dude do some research. AZGFD did not introduce these birds. They don’t get to pick and choose what animals get to live on the landscape and which ones go extinct. We have the feds for that. And they did not ban hunting coyotes. They banned idiots from having a big contest where people get prizes for stacking up piles of dead animals and taking pictures and the. putting it on social media. Get your facts straight. Who cares about lead, switch to non-lead, no big deal and the anti’s don’t have any argument.

Based on the 2018 BP report, I am slated for my first late December coues hunt in 2019 and I've been scouting new area since archery ended in January. I set new cameras Sunday and saw 15+ bucks with buds and at least 60 doe. I also found a nice deadhead on an unmapped water source and a "white" coues at 1.1 miles away. The weather was incredible, it was a glorious day in new country.
