Just wanted to reach out and say that if any houndsmen need a place to keep their dogs I have plenty of room with SOME spare houses if you need to evac and dont know what to do. No house but you can set up a camper right there and have your dogs there and be safe till things pass. No just an offer for the Woodbury fire but any that happen. I have a small puppy pen already set up but just wanted to throw it out there if anyone needs a place. Property is big enough for horses or mules too but there is no fencing so that may hinder that unless you bring panels. Send me a message if you need a place for you and your dogs.

4 days of riding and camping in the cool empty pines. A little lonely but mom came by to visit and I brought plenty of books. Pretty cool I took mom for her first ever mule ride and only her second time on horseback in 40 years. We came upon a coyote which we followed from way back and she led us to her den full of pups, so cool to have mom see that. Came across two separate bands of "wild horses" and snagged some good video. There are horses in some of these pics but phone doesn't make it good to see them It's super dry up there but the tanks have good water. It's just dry everywhere else. Be careful with flames and heat. I chose no fire for the week but I could have legally had one.

I posted a new thread but in case it gets overlooked. I have a big chunk of property that can be used for any houndsmen who need a place to get them and their dogs out of there or anywhere that has an evac order open and they dont really know where else to go. I say houndsmen because the property is not really suited for anything else. Horses or mules would need to be in corrals but it's still got some houses and chains for Hounds. I have spare houses around though that we could make it work. Theres prolly 25 t posts already pounded so all we would need is chains and we can figure out houses as we go but if anyone needs to get them and their dogs outta Dodge let me know. It's not much but it's better then trying to camp and move every 14 days lol.

Like bohntr said pick a spot and go, heck we just drive when we get tired we pull over and camp. Matter of Fact Daughter and I are trying to go in the next few weeks. last trip before she goes to boot camp in 4.5 weeks. were going to start in 13b looking for lopes and rams and sheds, then work over to 12 east. Figured I would show her all the cool artifact spots she didnt see he few times she went up there when I had tags and she was too young to hunt.

Hey CWT members, I hope it's ok to post this here. I went to this event last year for the first time and never had so much fun in my life so I joined the group. Better yet, it's a non-profit group that throws everything back to the community and to wildlife conservation. The Arizona Bowhunter's Association (a non-profit group) is holding their annual Bowhunter Happening 3-D shoot July 19-21 at Mormon Lake. For nearly 40 years this event has become one of the MOST enjoyable family archery shoots for all ages. This year the ABA is planning several new things including 5 new courses in the tall forest pines, an extreme course, multiple moving targets, and metal "blaster" targets. The old favorites will still be there such as Paul Line's Big Bear kids course, the Novelty Long Shot, the Aerial Archery Trap Shoot, and a Saturday night bonfire (subject to rstrictions) where you can bring and cook wild game to share with others. There will be multiple vendors, raffles (including several nice bows, optics, and accessories), a food truck, and much much more. Pre- register at www.arizonabowhunters.org and stay updated by following us on Instagram and Facebook Vendor inquiries can contact Hunter Wall @hunter.wall@cox.net

HOORAY -- Peace and quiet again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally solved the buzzing mystery. Yet even though I did, I can't imagine why it started like it did. I was making a phone call this a.m. on a phone that is right next to the computer. Every time I pushed a number, it would interrupt the buzz for a split sec. The phone has an antenna for companion handsets, which I don't have. Now, if you guess that was the problem, you'd be wrong.🤣I unplugged the phone's power supply and the phone cord from the wall. It didn't do anything for the buzz, however. Although it wasn't that dirty inside, I then decided to disconnect everything from the computer, bring it to my workshop and blow it out using a compressed air canister. As I was disconnecting the cables, I noticed an old tape answering machine that was behind it and tucked in a cubby hole had somehow got turned on. I turned it off, and the buzzing ceased immediately. To confirm it was the culprit, I turned it on again. Sure enough, buzz started. The answering machine is now in the trash. So there you have it folks; one mystery solved. But...another one is how and why did that answering machine get turned on two days ago because I sure didn't do it. In fact, I was actually typing when the buzz began. And the last one is what in the computer was buzzing because of the answering machine and why.

There’s going to be some serious soil erosion in some of those drainages once the monsoons kick in.

It's the least I can do. Lots of folks have helped me a long the way. And I have been there. It's a scary thing... theres honestly enough room out there that if they and their dogs could all behave theres prolly room for 10-12 or more hound guys to set up a good old camp out there and be pretty safe from just about everything. It's not the Ritz but my dogs and I have been out there for years and it's my favorite place in the world. It's where I would go if Show Low got evacuated like it pretty much did last year.

Sorry prdatr - been away for awhile. Three army cots work, not so with BIG man cots we all use now. I was skinnier once honest when a 24" bed was OK. Not so much now.

Get a hold of Applied Hydrographics in Peoria. Great guy and does great work. Quick turn around time. He did a bow for me that turned out really good. He has also done a couple of stocks for my friends.
