Wheels? It's got 'em. Hub caps? Yup there's three! You'll be the talk of the town at the car club when they see your detachable face CD player, it even has a remote so you can tilt your seat waaaaaay back and keep it gangsta! Did I mention the airbag suspension? And don't worry about the chunks missing from the ground effects kit, that'll buff right out

I worked as a bush pilot all over the state of Alaska and me and most of my friends carried Glock 20s in a chest rig. I’d also keep a short barreled Marlin 45-70 in the back of the airplane for around camp or doing bear watch. I’ve had two buddies kill charging brown bears with the 10mm and had positive results. It isn’t as much power as a 44 but you have twice the ammunition, accuracy, and half the weight which makes it worth it to me. Many make a mistake of rolling up with a 2in barrel cannon that kicks so dang bad you might get luck with hitting a bear. Reality is you’ve got a slim chance with ANY handgun because a 30-30 out of a lever rifle with standard loads has more energy than the hottest 44 mag round in a 4 or 6 inch barrel revolver.

There’s a 28 nosler browning that just came up for sale. Buy that. You can kill anything in the country with it and it’ll shoot just as good as a CM.

Here’s a great breakdown. Hope it helps. matthews- a favorite of eastern tree stand hunters and noobs. It’s important to note that every Hoyt, bowtech, pse, and prime fan are closet Matthews fans too. PSE is for everyone who swears vortex are the same as swarovskis and male domestic partnerships. prime is the choice of the country’s best, brightest, and most good looking people. Hoyt is the choice of the prime shooters slightly uglier and dumber little brother. i hope this completely objective review helps guide your decision. P.S.- I know you didn’t ask for a bowtech review but bowtechs are for everyone who thinks it’s a good idea to put spoilers on Honda civics.

Might have scouted up a big buck and that's the only way to hunt the unit. Years ago there were some pretty good ones in there. I have not even looked around the unit since it went to a draw.

90% of us just take binos into the field. A Spotting scope is for after you find deer that are far away so you can get a closer look. Most people are content with 10X and 15X binoculars as they have enough experience with bucks to know if it is a buck they want to shoot. Not a dang thing wrong with walking five miles. We have all done it and most do it regularly and it will give you experience you can't get by looking through a pair of binoculars like finding tracks and bumping critters and learning how to find your way out and back. Don't believe everything you read you are on the right track.

Just spent a week up in the unit on a family vacation. I drew that hunt too this year! We stayed at Brian Head. Tons of snow up on top still. Seemed like there were deer everywhere we went below the snowline, but I didn't see any bucks. We fished Panguitch Lake and it is now one of my new favorites! We all caught fish and a few of us caught some big ones. We had the most success with yellow garlic power bait balls. Fished from the shore and no matter where we went, we were catching fish! Awesome lake! Not sure where I am going to start when it comes to hunting up there. Will need to do some more research and topo surfing!

Regardless of whether you draw or not get a jump on getting yourself some gear. Firearms: You don’t need anything special. But if you plan to keep hunting coues you will find yourself wanting to shoot longer distances. I would recommend finding a common cartridge with a wide offering of factory loads. Any of the .30 cals are great (.308, 30-06, .300 win mag). The 7mm family have very good ballistic co-efficient and lots of factory options (7mm rem mag, 7mm-08) and of course right now everyone loves them some 6.5 mm, particularly the 6.5 creedmore. In reality, just about anything from .243 up will work just fine. Some sage advice here would be to buy something with lower recoil as you will enjoy shooting it more and will this spend more time practicing. I would suggest staying with a common factory platform that has lots of options to customize in the future. Remington 700, tikka, Ruger American Predator, and most of the savages are a great launching point. In regard to optics, you will need a rifle scope and binoculars. A spotting scope is a nice to have, but not the first place I would spend my money. I would rather hunt without boots than without my binoculars. Spend some money on your rifle optics, but prioritize your binoculars. There are plenty of low cost options these days that are far superior to what we were using even ten years ago. Expect to pay at least $300-$500 on a starter pair of bino’s and at least $300 on a rifle scope. Don’t forget a tripod. Without one you are basically wandering around the desert looking for Easter eggs. Also, this website is a good resource. If you poke around on here long enough you will find lots of info on low cost binoculars and other gear. Just look through the archives. Good luck and hit us up with other questions as you go.

Be careful in Mexico. I went to dental school in Glendale and saw some really bad stuff come out of Mexico. Their cost per procedure is going to be lower but they are gonna make it up in volume. I can’t count how many times I saw someone who needed one crown and a couple fillings and they came back with 4-5 crowns. Yes they probably spent the same or less for those 4-5 crowns but the thing about dental work is that if you do 4-5 crowns poorly you’re setting yourself up for a really really expensive future. Everything dental goes up exponentially each time you mess with it. A sealant is $30 (sealing a crack before a cavity) a filling is $200 (cutting the cavity out and filling it back up) a crown is $1000 (cutting the tooth into a top hat shape and recovering it with a new ceramic top) a root canal and crown is $2500. Taking the tooth out and replacing with an implant is $3500. All of these prices will be lower in MX, but I can promise you they don’t stay in business at the prices they charge without doing volume. If someone comes into my office for a $1000 crown my overhead eats up pretty quick. If I do two the second one has much much higher profit and so on. That’s how they make money on a $300 crown. The other thing to keep in mind is the dental lab work from down there is atrocious. I saw stuff in dental school that I know I could have done better on when I was 8 yrs old. Just for reference, my dental lab charges me $250 to build me a crown. That’s what it costs for quality work. If I charged $300 for crowns I would go out of business in a hurry. Im betting they get their crowns from Mexican labs for $15-30. Scary thought if you ask me. When you think about the stuff a tooth has to go through, acid, hot coffee to cold ice cream in the same bite, hundreds of PSI of pressure. The thought that a $15 piece of lab ceramic made by an underage worker in a lab mill in Mexico is gonna make it more then a few years is not happening. That’s my two cents on it. Get a dentist you trust. Spend the money. You won’t regret it. I wish I were closer I could get you set up.

So 12 pages of comments and no one has said yet if after the phone call, Duwayne bought the optics for a good price or not?

It sounds like the master guide gave the upincomer student a lesson on how to get his client a big buck in a competitive atmosphere. A3 should pay Duane for the lesson.
