This happened to me about two years ago, so a hundred new laws might have come into effect since then. I had a gun transferred to Brunos, and I have a CCW permit which Sportmans accepts by the way and so does Healy Arms without the background check, but Brunos runs the check CCW or not. When the check was ran it was placed on hold. I ask why and I was told there was no reason given, so I ask what now and I was told that they had three days to call back and give a reason for the hold and if not I could pick it up. This was like on a Friday and Tuesday I got a call to pick it up. Like I said this was a couple of years ago and it sounds like you might need some legal advice and not from a Sierra Hotel Lawyer.

I've had a couple close calls because I'm always looking out the side window instead of the windshield

Congrats Bob! This will make an even 20 for me for deer and elk. The one state I’m hoarding them in for some reason!! Too much going on for me. NV and UT primo deer tags for me and Alaska muskox and WY buffalo so my fall is tapped out!!!

I save all of mine for work. I have a ton of windshield time so I listen to them then.

I shoot 300 grain MZ Expanders and 100 grains of 209. I have found with my Optima that the heavier bullet gives me more accuracy. Also have found in my setup a solvent cleaner every 5-7 shots gives me an accuracy improvement too. One thing to keep in mind is that it seems every gun seems to like a particular load. I have owned 2 Knights, the Optima and a 700M. What shot well in one gun didn't mean it was going to shoot well in the others. This is a 300 grain MZ Expander pulled from a deer I shot at 150 yds quartering away. It went through the hip and lodged under the shoulder skin on the opposite side

37a there are still a couple sheep over 180 in that unit!

18...that's depressing... To answer an earlier question, I think the reason they separated the wilderness area from the rest of unit 24B is because those that drew 24B always hunted the easier country. Since nobody was ever hunting the wilderness, they put a tag in there to offer the extra opportunity and force someone to hunt in an area that was underutilized. It only makes sense. For those that don't know, a 168 ram is Boone and Crockett for desert sheep. So, according to B&C, a 168 desert sheep is the equivalent to a 190 typical mule deer, 375 typical elk or a 110 typical Coues. A ram scoring 175 is a huge animal by comparison, we just get a little spoiled living in a state that produces a few 180 inch rams each year.

The raffle tag ram that was just killed is pushing 180. There are some great rams in a lot of units.

That is what guides are for (people who dont know) and want to be a big hero.

I never set the 180 as my goal, I want to hunt a unit that has that potential. Who wouldn't?
  23. 1 point
Curly wasn't even 180. And people thought it was 200 minimum lmao

180 Ram, 200 Muley, 400 bull, 90 antelope, 110 coues Typically the guys stating this as their goals havent hunted enough to appreciate what they are saying and often dont know the difference between something exceptional and something above average. Good luck dude, hope it works out for you.

I don't care what everyone else is putting in for, just what I am putting in for. When I drew my antelope tag I applied for one choice and drew tag #1. I am open to 22 or 24B, not really thinking there are 180 class sheep in any other units right now. IMO I think there is several units that can produce a 180 ram besides just 22 & 24 units. 37A, 28. I think quality of ram is very dependent upon time invested especially for DIY hunters. To often people only hunt couple days then get discouraged with lack of sightings and then kill first decent ram they find.
