Mine was pretty average, about 36" but the experience was pretty epic. NonRes odds in Montana are way less than 1%, and the moose populations are way down. No glory shot because his antler shoved into the ground.
My Brother in law in South Dakota found this Shed the other day. He had seen him on the hoof. He said the other side was a typical 4pt. When he spotted the horn in the snow he said it looked like a piece of driftwood. Thus he named the buck "Driftwood" Wonder what he will be next year?
January was my first year hunting coues in AZ. I hunted 34A for 7 days and just tent camped by my truck. No issues, had a great time. I did carry a sidearm.
District 3 has needed one for a long time. Grijalva was spewing his nonsense 25 years ago when I lived in Tucson. How old is that guy? Back then I realized he was just an idiot, now, he a is senile idiot.
I use a Nemo Salsa 15°. It is made for side sleepers who hate to be restricted by mummy bags. most comfortable bag i’ve ever had. 650 down and really lightweight. I dont think they make the Salsa anymore. New models are Disco and Riff. They make 15° and 30°
Its for the lower 48 states I do believe. Our game and fish biologist dont need outside help with game management. Its really about stopping all hunting, they are just picking away one piece at a time. District 3 needs a new congressman.
Your an idiot. No one is e scouting I know the general area we are going to hunt. I also know it doesn't do any good to scout anything until a few weeks before the hunt as the elk won't likely be in the same area. Again no one asked for areas starting points or even a road to drive on. I don't hunt 6a but he drew 6a and wants help on his hunt because he is fairly new to hunting. Also who said he was not doing any scouting, walking or anything before the hunt. Again no one is asking about anything other than how crowded a hunt gets that neither of us have been on. Besides I'd rather be lazy than an idiot. So we got that going for us.
I picked up a box if 185gr 30 cal Classic Hunters today from Bruno's to play with in a 300 Weatherby mag. Axisworks is putting a brake on it and I should have it back soon. I have a couple elk hunts to get it ready for.
Interesting topic, I'll start by saying I love sheds! The ones I don't have on display in one fashion or another are in a pile I move around on occasion till I find a use for them.
Here's some I have.
Framing my front door.
Just Hanging
Wall Hanging
Lights
Artsy Stuff
Wind Chime
Door bell and door handle
And not sheds but what I call my Coues tree.
Like I said at the start "I love sheds!"
