3 pointsBeen trolling on this site for years and finally decided to make a profile. Drew a 35a Gould's tag this year with 14 bonus points. Set up this morning and had alot of turkeys talking all around us but nothing would commit in. At 7:30 we Decided to try another area and we found 3 toms together on the hill side. Made our way over there and found a single Tom by himself on a closer hill. Get over to him and bump him and he takes off. Took a chance and kept looking for him and found him walking around at 150 yards. Circled around him and we came up at the perfect spot. Ended up being a 10 yard shot. I know it will be years again but I can't wait to be drawn again.

2 pointsTook a small hike to check a camera one last time before the mother nature drops the heat hammer. This is a new spot so I wasn't sure what would show up.... no giants but, I was pleasantly surprised. Its probably worth keeping tabs on.... On the way out, I stumbled across these little treasures.. always makes it worth the walk Its going to be a long summer. Thanks for looking. Dave

2 pointsWelcome to the site!! Folks are not likely to drop tips to a brand new member here based on a 'first post' request for tips (Just kind of the way it is..... ). Check this out: https://www.azgfd.com/hunting/units/pinetop/3b/ There is some good basic info there. I would suggest a scouting trip or two, as the G&F report suggests. Then maybe come back on here and let folks know what you've discovered. You will likely find someone who would be willing to share a bit at that point. Good luck! S.

2 pointsI respect law enforcement and abide by as many rules as I can. They’ve helped me before and scolded me before. But isn’t it their job to help the public? Paid by tax dollars, citizens protected by the 1st to voice an opinion. If a tax payer doesn’t care for dps it doesn’t make them any less worthy of their service.

2 pointsI'm guessing that there are long-term water rights obligations laid-out contractually. Likely can't adjust and shift those obligations in a whimsical manner from year to year. Also likely that overall their would be MUCH more money to make in the 'water' business as opposed to license sales for a single body of water. At the end of the day, ALL Arizona reservoirs are here for water management first. Recreational fishing (even "premier fishing") is always going to be secondary. As a fisherman, I might not like it, but it is the way it is.... S.

1 pointFunny part is, this isn't just an Arizona thing. There have been multiple rescues in Italy and Spain where these prima donna types just have to go hiking in their flip-flops and end up stranded. That said, I'm not for shutting it down. If you get yourself in a pickle in there - like heck's Gate - deal with it snowflake. But don't expect someone on the tax-payer's dime to come bail your dumb azz out.

1 pointDucey has a bill on his desk to reduce the fee to $18. Let's see where he stands. TUCSON, Ariz. - A bill that could drastically cut vehicle registration fees advanced in the Arizona legislature. The state House voted 57-3 Monday supporting House Bill 2320, a which scuttles a plan to tack on annual law enforcement-supporting fees as high as $32. The new bill would cap the fee at $18. ADOT says the funds raised from the fee go towards public safety, highway patrol operations and state highway improvements. The vote came a month after the bill passed the state Senate. Gov. Doug Ducey must now decide whether to sign or veto the legislation. The fee will apply to 2020 registration renewals.

1 pointYou simply must renew those tags and keep that mobile artsy display on the road. How else will Joe Public get to view those awe inspiring trout and frying pan decals plastered on its sides?

1 pointAnother Great Bull Down! Ted Carlson and Timberland Outfitters are counting our Bison Blessings once again! Ted was able to make a great one shot kill at 45 yards to take this great P&Y record class bull! This bull may also be a B&C record. But for sure he is the biggest bodied bull we have ever taken! Good thing he was still skinny from the winter, handling him was tough enough as it was! Ted and I are not small men and usually if I have a half way sized or strong man with me, we can always stand up even the biggest bulls for pictures. We tried our hardest to prop him up and we never even began to come close! I took some measurements on this bulls 6' tall at the shoulder body because I could see his body and bone structure was huge. For comparison, Most big bulls are around 5'5"+ and will have a hump plate that is 15 to 17 inches tall. I don't think I have ever seen one over 17". This bull was 19"! I found this bulls awesome track and tried to hide my excitement from Ted, but he could tell I knew it was something special. I tracked this bull back and forth for quite a while and noticed an awesome pattern that he had done twice and about every couple of days! I felt there was a good chance he would do it again and that the time for him to do it if he was going to do it would be that day or the next! I had high hopes! I set up some cameras just in case the bull came through at night. It was about noon that day when I settled on a place to set up and take our chances to wait for the bull for the next couple of days. It was cold and we were freezing but since I figured the bull was in the part of his pattern that would be on the park the only thing we could do if we wanted this bull was to wait. So, at 6:20 that evening here comes the huge bull!!! I turn on the video camera and get great video as Ted makes a great 45 yard shot! The bull took a while to expire but only went 40 yards!!! It Was Awesome and we took our time enjoying the night with no hurry to be anywhere. Once I put a knife to him It took us 2hrs and 20min to break down the buffalo into quarters and pieces. And with all the meat, hides and head back in camp it was 1:30 am when I finally crawled into bed! Considering our day started at 4:AM the morning before we were excited to sleep in a little! Felling blessed indeed! Hope you enjoy! Lance. Below is a trail cam picture of the bull shortly before the bull was taken! Below is a picture off of the video at point of arrow impact!!! Check out how that 2000lb animal is already trying to string jump the arrow!
