It's gotten too expensive for a show overrun with rvs, boats, kitchen gadgets and the like. I liked it when it was at the Coliseum in the old days and was mostly hunting and fishing.

Hard stuff right there. Lost my 16 year old last summer. He had been with me since high school. We just adopted a yellow lab from Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue. I still follow their work and just came across this 1 year old thats available. Alot of great dogs coming from messed up situations and looking for a great person to give them a new life. Good luck! http://dlrrphoenix.org/crs_dogs/bodhi/

Strictly confidence isnt what she needs, just part of it. She told me shes scared that not giving in could lead to a physical confrontation shes not sure she could win. Thats mainly my thought process going towards mma, boxing etc. The one gym close to my house does boxing, mma, muy thai and ju jitsu. Im thinking thats the way we may,go. Really considering going to do it with her and even maybe making it a family thing. Actually sounds pretty fun to me.

Something they choose to do and not forced to . Can't make your kid something they are not wired to be.

I like your boxing idea. I think that will have the most immediate impact. It won't take long for her to be punching hard with great footwork and balance. Plus, light sparing will get her used to dealing with incoming strikes and realizing that the incoming punch doesn't need to miss by much to be completely ineffective. It's also something that she could do by herself with a heavy bag and/or one of those cool "Bob" punching forms. I bet you could find some former boxers in your area who would be willing to train her on an hourly (or 1/2 hourly) basis. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is great too but for different reasons. It takes a little longer to feel competent but it has the advantage of being a group environment which would offer her a different, positive, peer group. MMA may be a blending of both. Maybe you can both train together? But don't take self-defense advice from me: As a parent, you're doing the right thing by trying. When my son was younger (like middle school through high school) I used to say that he never wanted me less but needed me more. (My daughter was much easier.) I think the point is to try to get girls to about 22 years old and boys to about 30 years old without them having made any life-alteringly stupid decisions. For some people, parenting is smooth sailing, for others it's maneuvering through one storm after another. Our kids are not "our" kids after all. They are their own, autonomous humans. Control is an illusion. All we can do is be indefatigable and have the "I love you and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it." attitude. My daughter was my first born and when I first saw her I realized that from that day forward my heart would be wandering around outside my body for the rest of my life. It's stressful at times but it's what you signed up for. You got this.

I decided that since I'm investing in a new rifle I need to free up some room on the budget so I'm testing the waters to find out if there's any interest in my Swaro 8x32 ELs field pro package. Asking $1500 firm. They are in great shape with no damage except one tiny nick on the metal ring that surrounds the lens. I paired them with the 12x50s and they quickly became my favorite glass for everything that didn't require a tripod. They're excellent, very light little binoculars and everything you'd expect from Swarovski ELs. They come with the original box and all accessories. Please PM if interested. Located near Tucson. **Sorry I didn’t post pictures sooner but here they are.

If you didn't buy your license directly from G&F, it will never likely show-up in the portal. Can't speak to the rest of your issues.

Found a shed from a buck I had on my trail cam from a few years ago. Not sure if this is an older or recent shed since it was in the shade and inside a bush. Also I haven’t seen this deer on my cams lately or while out looking. My guess is last year but???Regardless his antler is/was unique and a cool find. I’ve been out pretty regularly the last few weeks and have only seen one deer missing a side. This is in central Az. Up north I’ve witnessed 3-4 bulls that have dropped but haven’t found any... yet.

Couldnt make it yesterday from the alpine side. Amazing to see so much water in the mountains. Quite a bit of snow left but melting quick. Warm few days ahead so that may help.....

Jui jitsu. My son has been doing it about 8 months, and that little SOB gets AFTER IT when we wrestle. Guarantee when she chokes her first opponent (student in the class) out, her confidence will sky rocket.

If they really wanted them all gone they would issue a free elk tag with every deer tag so you could hunt both while on the deer hunt.

688 tags for an area with 50 head. C'mon... who can resist that opportunity. Oh yea, it takes a whole day just to get there. Yippee!
