Hey good luck. I post this topic because as hunters we're constantly walking over top of good ground containing ore and gemstones. I highly recommend watching some videos on YouTube by Jeff Williams. He's highly entertaining and knowledgeable on finding and recovering the shiney yellow. Till then remember, gold rides an iron bike....

Yes it is his first buck ever, he had some great opportunities at some studs, he's learning, we just got him 15x vortex bino's . The double main beam buck my oldest son shot in the Matazal's, he thought it was a 2 point. And the trophy wall wouldn't exist if my dad's hobby wasn't taxidermy, unfortunately his partner (brother) just past last Monday, he will be deeply missed. If you can believe that's only one wall, couldn't fit the rest in the picture. Looks like you have a great taxidermist your self.. I've been very blessed over the years, can't wait to someday come down and hunt with you. I'll bring Adam as our guide. He's an animal magnet for sure. Thankyou for the kind words

Congrats on the tag!! You had a 1/100 chance of pulling it so consider yourself blessed but do those of us who weren’t as lucky a favor and make the most of it!! Buy the Bo permit without a doubt. You’ve got the chance to have an absolute world class antelope hunt and kill a giant. If they auctioned that tag it would probably bring $15,000-20,000 so consider it a lottery win and make the most of it. Spend a few hundred bucks on gas and the $80 or whatever it is to access the Bo. Get up there for a couple weekends leading up to the hunt (more if you’ve got time) and most importantly take off 3-4 days prior to your hunt. Do your hunting before the hunt and kill on opening morning. So many people show up for antelope hunts on opening morning without ever looking around at all then expect to hunt for 3-4 days into the season. The best bucks are gonna go down at daylight on opener. There’s always a chance you can kill one sleeper buck that’s been hiding in the cedars anytime during the season, but I personally would make the “hunt” the few days leading up to opener. It’ll be less stressful, look over a ton of bucks when they aren’t being shot at, pick out “the one”, figure out what he does and be in there opening am and smack him at daybreak. Also post pics!!!

Also a great caliber all around for kids, ladies and adults in my opinion. My kids have 2 cows down with it. Both went under 20 yards. One shot at 180yds, one at less then 100.

Unfortunately there are not many "Packer" services in Az. In the past when I've needed help I've hired local kids to help pack out. Most guys will help for free if beers are included with a steak dinner. I've paid a few guys over the years as well. Once you have a bull down make a post stating you need help and you will have all the help you need!!!

Get away from the roads to get away from the other hunters. You will greatly increase you odds. Have a good set if boots, a good pack, and some glass. Use the boots and glass to fill the pack.

allforelk, what doesn't makes sense? i can apply for a point. get it. and then in december buy a non permit tag at vendor when I'm down there. I've read the regs. and residents. your just trying to discourage me to hunt your state.

oh yeah i forgot to mention. its OTC. already got my elk and antelope apps in just waiting for the deer. probably just do a point cuz my buddy is set on OTC archery.
