I appreciate the offers but I hope to host them here at my place in Texas and it’s covered. I don’t have big Whitetail but we have fair 8 points and an occasional bigger buck. It will be great to host them and give back.

I wanted to take a moment and give an update. I would like to start by thanking everyone who provided input. I want to especially think a member on CWT that reached out to me and provided a complete BH lifesize cape to replace mine. This gesture was one of the most generous things I have seen. I continue to be shocked at the generosity. I will make every effort next deer season to square up with him I hope. The cape is being shipped tomorrow and hopefully on its way to a different tannery soon. Again, thank you to everyone. Tim

Well I shot a real nice buck in Mexico, was with a great group of guys. Hit him a little back and couldn't located due to had to leave the next day. He's been found , I go back Wednesday to get him. So on that note they cut his head of and enjoyed the meat, so now I need a cape, if anyone has one that hasn't been sliced up the front that you want to part with let me know. Tubed is preferred but I'm open to anything. No spikes please.. Thanks guys and gals

Anything for a laugh. Even if it means one of my testicles gets kicked up into my stomach.

Do you seriously think does didn't or aren't going to get bred just because you experienced poor rutting at your locations/timing? I hope your last few posts are in jest...

Here's an old Remington 700 BDL in 25-06. I think it was made around 1970. I was thinking of using it for a project but I realize that I'm not going to get around to it. Should make a nice hunting rifle. I think the barrel has been shortened to 20 inches. $450 located in south Tempe area

Same here, and then make fish tacos out of them. I buy the tortillas in RP , so they are made with lard and so good for you... add pico, shredded lettuce , and a twist of lime. Salsa to taste. In fact, had that for dinner Saturday.

Didn't feel like going out this morning but when I looked outside I knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Walked a couple two tracks looking for tracks just to see what the deer would be doing. Saw this guy a ways ahead of me and was able to work my way up and around pop up over a slight rise and let one fly. I knew right away he was mine. I won't say how many arrows I let fly I over the last few weeks. It felt great to finally connect. Momma even came out to take pics and help me drag him out. Now I got to help momma get one!

You could go hang out with the boys that do the M1 shooting out to 1000. Lots of reloaders for the 06 there. I shoot mine out to 600 but haven't tried any further. I think in the summer the heat waves will make the target hard to see at that distance. Good luck, and record it when you do it.

Hello CWT Been awhile since the last time I poked my nose in. Probably since my Spain/Russia trip last November. Well, didnt draw anything anywhere... again. But I DID finally return to Africa after a long 8 year hiatus from the dark continent. Ive been mountain hunting as hard as my finances would allow the last 8 years and Africa just took a back seat. I made Namibia the priority this trip as I have never been there before, and because it is the safest country in Africa, I decided to take my 10 year old daughter, my wife and my mother on this trip. Ill spare the written details other than to say it was a fantastic trip. 10 days of hunting with some incredible trophies taken.. a few for me I had been waiting to hunt for many years. We hunted north central Namibia not too far from Etosha Nat Park. I was fortunate enough to have taken a monster sable bull and Roan bull as well as Hartmanns mountain zebra, Damara dikdik, steenbok, and 2 gemsbok oryx bulls. My daughter was Annie Oakley this trip. 6 kills with 6 shots from her 243. Im pretty sure she has the bug as badly as her old man now! She took 4 springbok, an impala, and a blue wildebeest. After the hunt, we spent an incredible week in Swakopmund on the coast as well as a few days in Soussusvlei and Deadvlei in the Namib Desert. National Geographic stuff 💯!! Beautiful place! So here are a handful of pics to enjoy. It was great being back in Africa but now the mountains call again and Oct cant come quickly enough! Good hunting to you all and congratulations to those with a sheep tag in your pocket!

Dude. People are gonna go nuts when they find out that these are Fluorite...

Yeah, but then you have to hike the 7 miles to go shoot what you spotted! Maybe you can put some flourite in your boots. Seems to help with the optics.
