At my age I'm forgetting more and more, especially some of the things my wife tells me to do, but I'm going to try and remember this!

I was in 8 yesterday and nearly got swept away in a wash while crossing with my truck. Huge amounts of precipitation dropped yesterday and filled all tanks to their max. On top, above the rim, the snow pack isn't significant and may lead to issues down the road, but the tanks at rim level and below are filled to the max. More water than they have held in them in a couple years. I was starting to get concerned as water levels were dropping lately, but after this week, tanks in Unit 8 should be good on water for critters until monsoon season. Just thinking this might be useful info for some of ya folk.

Killed my buck on Jan 10th as he was trailing a doe. Saw other buck and doe combinations a few days prior to that see pics. I am sure the rut is in full swing as usual for this period of time.

It’s been a roller coaster weather wise in Southern Arizona, snow, fog, ice cold wind, 14 degree mornings. Manage to harvest on the 3rd stalk at 11 yards. While stalking they decided it was nap time, all 15 pigs huddled up under a mesquite. We sat back and relaxed 80 yards away til they got up and moving again.

A month before the season, I found this matching set of drop antlers in a wash, about 250 yards apart. I shot this buck about 1.5-2 miles north of where I found the drop antlers. Personally, I think there is a lot of similarities between them. Just curious if you guys think this is the same buck or not. Thanks.

I don't think the ruts over, think you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Get back out there.

I would call the units game and fish officer as he is the one in the end you will be talking to if it's not ok.

When I have a hard time selling something I eventually price it at what I told my wife I paid for it....only then it sells pretty quickly.
