Should have kept quiet

Mixing or blending powders is just asking for trouble in my opinion. Like Lance said there are plenty of powders available to fine tune anything you want. If you are wanting to duplicate factory loads I have seen multiple reloading articles that talk about doing just that with production powders available to the hand loader. I am not sure why anyone would want to duplicate a factory load though, just go buy it.

Last May, two men parachuted out of a WWII Gruman Avenger, just south of Whiteriver, AZ. They were flying the antique plane east when they experienced engine trouble and had to bale out at approximately 800' AGL. Plane was lost by radar just south of Mt Baldy and hasn't been seen since. The owner is offering a $20,000 reward for the GPS Coordinates of the crash site. Looking for references on an outfitter for a mid January 2020 Mexico Coues deer hunt. Never been to Mexico before but am not new to Coues deer. Just have never pulled the trigger on Sonora. I’m ready to book a hunt now for 2020. Wanted to get the ball rolling now so by the end of this January I can secure a spot. Anything you got, good or bad I’ll listen. Thanks everyone.

I did a job just a few miles north of this place a year or so ago. Unbelievable amount of deer. Would see 100 a day just driving to the job.

I personally have my guns zero set at 300 yards. I prefer to dial as little as possible so setting my zero at 300 allows me to dial less when shooting 5-700 yards. I haven't shot an animal with my rifle under 300 yards so I figure 300 is a good starting place.

Its all fun and games and sooo exciting until Mildred's toy poodle gets eaten off the end of its leash , Then Saddlebrooke will be having a town hall meeting and demanding justice be done! AZGF will capture and euthanize it. AZHSUS and PETA will will decry its murder as a senseless act of barbarianism. No winner except Mildred, who gets rid of a toy poodle.

I'm headed up over New Years to my place in Texas 5 deer in a couple days. Ain't coues hunting but it sure is good for the freezer. And this guys hunts are awesome good people. I would recommend them for sure.

We did a couple night calling sets. Freaking spooky. Especially how quiet cats are. Had a bobcat within 20' of me and never knew it until my brother literally screamed like a girl. Which almost caused me to crap myself. That was the last night set we made.

Being a nonresident of AZ but hunting Coues deer for 9 times and killing 4 plus one in Mexico I can understand your predicament and issues. I have not spot and stalked one to the kill but I have tried a few times without success. All of the bucks came from a natural blind, tree stand, or a tent blind (Mexico) over a funnel (bed to feed, bed to drink, feed to drink, shade during mid day heat and all were killed during the January bow hunting season. The last buck I killed came in to horn rattling and buck grunting. Being a solo hunter without a ATV and willing to hike in a mile or two, like I do here in Colorado for elk, I have no issues to hike onto an area, and even stay the night or two. I do this mainly to get away from other hunters and to also find more remote and un molested deer. Finding one or two remote water holes would be ideal and with indications that deer are actually visiting the area. With the aid of Google Earth, one should be able to find some of these. As far as spending "countless hours glassing". Well, this is the name of the game where one can find a good location and glass the areas for a day or two to determine the deer patterns and what bucks might be in the area, what time there are moving, and then slip in to ambush from a ground blind or tree stand. Setting on your butt and checking out the area with bios and/ or a spotting scope will be good time spent and I would highly recommend it. Just remember, the very first time into the area, once you determine the deer movement, is the very best time to kill a deer. I have not hunted Coues in "central" AZ but hunt them farther south within (sometimes, eye sight of the Mexican boarder). So keep at it, and with some hard work and some good luck you will one day get the draw on a Coues buck. I will be back down to AZ this coming January. my best, Paul

After all that I am gonna say one thing. I would go with a rifle big enough to take down a Bull Elk! I would shoot a 30-06 as this caliber has the widest range of weights and bullet styles. A good rifle in that caliber can accurately hit out to 800 yards. My brother has one he shoots 168grn out to 1000 yards consistently! My dad has dropped everything he shoots with his Smith-Corona 03-A3 shooting a 130grn Hornady. If you can afford to run multiple rifles then you could shoot the 243 for deer and any heavier caliber for elk. 411 yard cross canyon shot with a 10 mph crosswind.

G & F always told me, might as well shoot them because population will rise and they will disease and die off anyway.
