I care, because it impacts me. You can beat your chest and be as proud as you want but the facts are what they are. It doesn’t matter what the biology says about these contests if the general public find them grotesque then the chances are they won’t last long. Predator hunters could do all of us and especially themselves a huge favor by being more conscientious about what they post and where. A great next step would be to go on the offensive by highlighting the necessity of predator hunting and working with AZGFD to identify areas where their efforts could most benefit wildlife. Like it or not, hunting lives or dies on its public image. Take care of it or lose it. Your choice.

Very busy time of the year for me. Wish I had a few personal "Santa's Helpers". I bought this in 2016 with the expectation of starting a exercise regimen but this style didn't work for me. So, with that said It has maybe a mile on it and has been talking up space so I am offering it up to anyone else who wants it. If you can use it, fine. Know someone or a good cause then It's yours. Unlike Kris Kringle, and according to my ex, I don't deliver Soooooo, Here it is. I am close to Country Club and Mckellips No hurry.

I saw two a couple weeks ago during my daughters late youth deer hunt... killed one. Great eating... I'd love to call one in and kill it with my bow, that's next. Ed F

One day before I die we’ll put this old wive’s tale to rest once and for all...the correlation of rutting and temperature is purely coincidental. It has 100% to do with daylight (aka “photoperiod”).

My dad and I were able to get out for a few days last weekend. After starting off with a couple missed shots by my dad on Friday morning then not being able to keep an eye on a couple bucks we were able to glass up Friday afternoon. We headed to a different area Saturday saw lots of deer but no bucks. Sunday morning we hunted around camp i glasses up a bachelor herd of 7 bucks. We made a plan and started the climb up the mountain. My dad said since i found the deer i could get first shot so we split up thinking the bucks would go over the top after the shot. So i snuck into place when i got over there i couldn’t find the deer thinking i had gone to low. As i was getting ready to grab my stuff to back out and go higher a spike steps out so i stay put and get ready. After 4 spikes and forkies step out my buck presents himself and i shot. I watch him go down the deer stay put i call my dad and tell him to get over the top right away there’s a bigger buck! After what seemed like a hour but more like 5 minutes his buck was getting ready to top over. My dad tops the ridge and shoots his buck at 200 yards! It was awesome watching both bucks drop within 50 yards of each other!

Photos of a hundred dead coyotes in a pile, displayed on social media and all over the internet really helps their cause. Not very bright in my opinion .

The main advantage to using the grooves milled in the top of the receiver is it allows you to mount your scope as low as possible, thus contributing to a positive cheek weld. I used Warne rings, and they clamp on with a bulldog grip, they look good, are lightweight, and don't have anything sticking out to catch on stuff. If you plan to wear your barrel out and rebarrel right away, you can always get the quick-release option for easy return to zero. Warne's are great rings. I understand Talley's are also topnotch. I can't imagine a rail on a 6 1/2 # rifle, but all the Chris Kyle wannabes seem to love those things. Pretty useful I guess if you want to shoot targets the size of a Volkswagen at 1200 yds. forepaw

We did a couple night calling sets. Freaking spooky. Especially how quiet cats are. Had a bobcat within 20' of me and never knew it until my brother literally screamed like a girl. Which almost caused me to crap myself. That was the last night set we made.

Maybe you'll get a small buck or two a little horny but nothing serious. The best rut activity with big bucks chasing does will be late January to mid February.

I'm not as active as I used to be on CWT. But I still linger and have always had a tremendous amount of respect for what Amanda built from the beginning. So if I can contribute to her and the rest of you Coues deer fanatics I will! I finally caught up with this buck after he eluded me last year. He's an old buck (and I'm not very smart) so I honestly couldn't be happier. It's always special when you can follow an animal this long. And for those who've done it, it can be very bitter/sweet also. I especially feel that way as I feel like I linger closer to my Coues deer hunting days being numbered. Enjoy.

It didn't quite all go to sausage (out of the smoker and chilling down now). The traditional tenders for breakfast.

azsugarbear is good to go, very easy to deal with member and didn't try and screw you around. Very honest and straight forward. I purchased a Swaroski spotting scope from him and he even brought a tripod for me to check it out so it was a more realistic experience.
