4 pointsI was truley blessed this year...and was lucky to harvest this buck from my tree stand at 19yds. Had 6 bucks come in on my first day in stand. This buck decided to come in as I was preparing to leave for the day. I only had this buck on camera twice... but in 3 weeks from the first picture he must have doubled in size...amazing, and I'm sure he had a little growing left to do as well. We rough scored him at 107 1/8"

2 pointsWhy are you viciously attacking him like that. It’s your violent words that are causing him to fear for his life. 😉

2 pointsIf I were You I would blame CrossFit. You seem to think you had some amazing bear spot which means it was probably off the road a bit. So blame CrossFit and Cameron Hanes for getting these fatties in shape enough to make it to your beloved spot.

1 pointMy buddy shot this boar opening evening at about 150 yards, the prickly pear was unbelievable this year

1 pointLong story short it was frustrating and had a couple opportunities at some high 70" bucks but it didn't happen. With just a day and half only to hunt this hunt because of last min work issues I settle for this guy. Overall he is a decent buck and a fun hunt! I just got done telling Lance about my frustration that morning and he was a couple hours out from getting there. 20 minutes later that happens. Funny how fast the hunt can change on you! I pack up quarter him out and met Lance and showed him were some of the big boys were at. Last text he sent me was he had a big stalk on a big guy but it didn't happen. Im sure in the next day he will be sending in his buck.

1 pointWilson/Sinclair all the way. Nothing cuts as square or as repeatable and it is readily converted to a neck reamer. They sell a power adapter that replaces the hand crank so you can use it with a power screw driver. May not be the fastest but is definitely the most accurate and most versatile. Dan

1 pointOn a hunting bow it’s more of a dampener. I’d say around a 7. As for the diferance between high end and low is very little. my advice is to get and 8” bee stinger and slap it on.

1 pointI was using Avenza maps app on my phone last year and it worked pretty well. Just load the travel maps you need and and u can follow right along as you go and can see if the road ur on is open and what it’s open to.

1 pointSad how Mule deer numbers are so low in some units. We need more kitty and yote hunters............BOB!

1 pointI took the handle off and hooked a drill up to my RCBS Trim Pro 2. I can crank through a lot of brass in no time. This isn't my picture (I got in online) but same idea.

1 pointI use the wilson. You can hook a drill up to it. Still not "fast" though.

1 pointAccuracy and long range shots are two very different topics. Variables other than accuracy will account for a greater change of impact then the accuracy of the gun. Problem is frequently hunters thing that they have a 1/2 MOA gun and that means they will shoot 1/2 MOA at 800 yards and can just change the top turret on their scope and whack critters at any given distance. Not going to happen. Honestly I think the OP could shoot factory ammo and have an MOA gun. An MOA gun is plenty good enough for 99% of the shots in the field. 1.5MOA isn't the end of the world. If they were to shoot 400 yards then the bullet would hit within 3" of where they are aiming. That will kill a WT deer in AZ everytime. Now the other factors might change the point of impact by more than 3" but that isn't the guns fault. That is the shooters fault. They would miss by that much regardless if they have a custom 1/2 MOA gun or a 1.5MOA gun. That is my point. Having a super tight shooting gun doesn't account for most of the misses in the field. Had a buddy just get back from an NV antelope hunt. There was a hunter with them that shot 22 rounds out of a gun and finally killed a buck. 22 rounds out of a sub MOA gun and was missing the goats by FEET not inches. An accurate gun is the easy part of the equation. Understanding how to use the gun and taking the time to learn the gun is the important part.

1 pointMy buddy told me an old saying One shot, animal is probably dead, Two shots, maybe dead, Three shots, animal long gone.

1 pointWebsite looks like it got an upgrade. I was able to get close this weekend but couldn’t seal the deal. Southern AZ has got over 10” of monsoon rain so sitting water was not an option imo. Green as far as the eye can see and I had the entire unit to myself. Didn’t even see another truck :-) Glassed a nice 3x at first light. Got to 135 and saw he was with a little buck. Made a big move all the way around the hill to get in behind. Had him at 50 yards in an ocotillo. Next step he took was gonna let it fly. Turned out to be the small buck. %^\!?! To to be continued.

1 pointI think some of these guys are just mad that they're too fat to fit in it. High quality gear is priceless and a game changer. Their ignorance is excusable.

1 pointmeanwhile desert bull is glassing from a spot with nobody around lol

1 pointCameras at water holes show people where the deer were. I guess looking at tracks on the ground is just fake news. The only thing cams tell me that tracks don't is what the headbone looks like. Good glass is more of an advantage to actually killing an animal than cameras are. Cameras may tell me a deer was at a certain spot at some duration in the past. Glassing shows you where they are at right now. Until arrows or bullets can move through time, advantage real time. I've witnessed on two separate incidents, people using their ATVs tactically to kill deer with their bows. A few years ago, I was camping above the Yolo ranch on archery deer opening day. I got to sit in my camp and watch people hunt. What I saw was hunters riding ATVs with their bows. No problemo. They spot a buck, so they drive into some cover. One shuts his ATV down and gets off with his bow. The other hunter drives ahead aways then stops leaving his ATV running. The hunter on foot takes advantage of fact that deers attention was on the other ATV rider. The sound of ATV provides sound masking for the hunter making his stalk. It worked. It was a scenario that played out in front of me twice in one day. Clever, I'd agree. Fair chase? hmmm How about, before Azgfd, makes more laws, how about they enforce those already in place. Like No Camping within !/4 mile of water holes. Saw multiple violations in unit 8 today.
