CEI Report post Posted August 3, 2012 The Southwest is known for being a dry climate. With that said, precipitation amounts can dramatically influence antler growth and big game rutting cycles. The above Arizona Big Game Unit precipitation data map is for the month of July. This image is GREAT news if you are an Archery elk hunter (rut factors) or hunting deer south of the Grand Canyon (antler growth). These precipitation unit images are something we will eventually only share with our members.
